Joni that is going to be a beautiful quilt ,can't wait to see it when finished, Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Your fabrics and blocks are gorgeous. Your quilt is going to be gorgeous. I love the courthouse steps block. Don't know why I have not made a quilt with it. I think some of the old traditional blocks are the prettiest.
I recently got a copy of The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns by Jinny Beyer. It has over 4000 pieced quilt blocks. I have never seen so many beautiful and amazing quilt blocks in my life. Some of the most beautiful and intricate ones are also some of the oldest blocks. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
Your quilt is going to be gorgeous! I love the fabrics you chose. Christmas is my favorite decorating time of the year, so one of these days I'm going to have to make a holiday wall hanging. Can't wait to see your finished quilt :)
Joni -- what you have done so far on your quilt is awesome. Can't wait to see the finished project.
Nana, your boxy stars is beautiful, I Finally got the stare blocks done and set them in a turn dash medallion. I have to add the back ground fabric to make it square again and add the borders. Hope to have the top done by the middle of September.
Your quilt sounds beautiful. Anxious to see pictures.
Joni, awesome featherweight and awesome blocks... It reminds me of a man in a tuxedo... you are doing fantastic - aren't log cabin blocks fun - My first quilts after I started with an 8 pointed star were log cabins and 9 patch... I had so much fun and now am back to making log cabins again... teehee - we go round and round...
I can't wait to see your finished quilt...I just know it will be awesome and awe inspiring!!! Thank you so much for sharing your work with us!

OMGosh what size strips did you use. When I first looked I thought what pretty floral fabric you used for part of your block and then I realized those blocks were made up of very tiny boxy stars. So pretty.
wendy, very pretty colors, i hope you post pictures when you are finished gini
Wendy,Beautiful, can't wait to see the completed quilt.thanks for showing us...Barbara
Joni, love the quilt, the book and especially the machine. I wish I had all that bed space on my Singer machine! This reminds me of the machine my Mom had that I learned to sew on.
