I will be making a quilted purse for my daughters 26th bday later on today. But right now I am going to see the movie "Eclipse" with my daughters and granddaughter. I loved the first two Twilight movies, can't wait to see this one

Gagoo, I hadn't seen the 1st two but friends, who are into that series, invited me to go see this one and I really enjoyed it.  I plan on seeing the first two now.

Another quilt is finished. Hooray! This one is a wallhanging that I started in class two weeks ago. It was definitely quick to do.

The pattern is from Helen Frost & Catherine Skow in their book, "Radiant Sunshine & Shadows".

I named mine "Pine Patch". It measures 37" x 37".

Here's the pieced back.

Now back to the UFO's. That is, after finishing the laundry & paying bills. I may not get any more quilting done today, come to think of it.

Judy, your wall hanging is very nice. I am in awe of those tiny squares. Wow!

I finished piecing a baby quilt for the hospital and have it sandwiched. I started to sandwich Boxy Stars and can't find the backing. I might have to make an emergency run after supper and buy some more.

I still haven't heard anything about my machine so I don't know when I can get back to quilting.

Lovely Judy.  I have been working on the quilt for my nephew.  I have 32 log cabin blocks almost done.  I am the width of the fabricx1.5" short.  I am hoping the lqs still has the fabric so I can finish the last 5 blocks

Judy, your "Pine Patch" is beautiful!  It's just as pretty on the back as it is on the front.  Good job!

Judy, what a darling wall hanging and I love the way you did the back, all too often the backing is ignored.

And Marie, definitely go and see the first two Twilight movies. I loved the third and just found out they are making 2 more!!

Here is the purse that I made for my daughter, Emily's, 26th bday. It took me 7 hours from start to finish, rather large at 16x15. She wanted something made out of some beautiful Asian fabric that I had.

Hi Marilyn~

It sounds like you get to quilt all the time. We need some pics of all these quilts. I'd love to see what you have done. Maybe it'll make me get my butt moving.

We have had two huge hail storms - one yesterday and one this afternoon.  Some of the hail today was the size of golf balls and the wind was blowing them onto my bathroom window.  The noise was incredible. I am surprised that the windows didn't break.  I haven't been outside to see if there is other damage,  Sure is windy on my hill.

Wow Kathy, glad you are all ok.  Diane I have decided that as long as it rains I am going to quilt so that was yesterday afternoon and most of today.  I did not go to the quilt store but subsituted another blue that I am using for boarders for 4 of the blocks and did a seam using scraps on the fifth block that no one will ever see.  I will take some pics tomorrow promise.

I meant to post this in the 'what are you up to today' thread.  I am having a sandwich short of a picnic day:-)

Gagoo:
see the first two Twilight movies

Gagoo, my son owns the first two dvd's, I'll be sure to borrow and watch them, thank you.

The purse is gorgeous!  Makes me want to make mine but i'm still procrastinating!  I'm in a quilting funk for whatever reason so I'm just going to ride it out and see what happens.
