Nana, I seem to remember Thea was working on a curved log cabin, Wonder if she got it finished , guess I'll have to ask her.. any way I'm off to get ready for work so hope all have a great quilting day and be on much later tonight...Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
I finished MQ3 quilt top today. Yay! The first photo is the top as best as I could photograph with the wind and fire ants. The second is a detail I decided to embroider on the off white squares. It is from a myembroideries.com collection and I cropped part of it off to fit the space. It took a while to do those, and the last is a design I created to finish off the border squares. Won't it be fun to satin stitch around?LOL.
I wanted to originally miter the borders, but ran out of fabric. This was a collection from 2006, and in my stash. Thank you Nana for creating such a beautiful pattern to be able to show it off.

Cindy, Nana and Marie,
Thank you for your wonderful responses.
I was so inspired by all of the wonderful borders that were being added to everyone's quilts, that it made me really want to go the extra mile as well.
Marie, The gold rick rack design is actually part of the border fabric . It would be wonderful to have a decorative stitch like that.
Barbara,
Loving your scrappy Log cabin. The center red squares really tie them all together.
Stephanie, your MQ3 is gorgeous. I hope it is for you. I would hate to give that beauty away. I love your border, I love your embroidery. I love your quilt. On second thought, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if you gave it away. I will send you my address and you can just send it riight over. LOL!
Barbara~
Your log cabin is coming out wonderful. I haven't done one in a while and it makes me want to start one. I love the scrappy look.

Oh Ms. Stephanie!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable! My MQ didn't look anything like this. I'm humbled.....I'll go back to my crayons and coloring books now. Beautiful color combos, totally awesome borders and corner stones. Love the embroidery. Very very elegant! You should be very proud of this one!
Stephanie:ished MQ3 quilt top today. Yay!
I knew your quilt would be amazing. The fabrics are gorgeous and the embroidery and special borders knock it right out of the park. This is a show stopper for sure. WTG
Pat,
Thank you. LOL. I had originally thought of giving it away, but I can't bring myself to do it. LOL. It looks so nice with the red walls of my sewing room. I keep a sofa bed in there for an overflow of company and I love the way it sparkles in the light in there. Thank goodness I hadn't promised it away....
Thank you Diane! They all turned out beautiful. It was a great pattern and such creative borders!
Diane Morgan:You should be very proud of this one!
I am, especially after all of your wonderful comments. Now, everytime I look at it, it will have a fond memory of our shared experience doing it.
