I try to remember that the only one that has to like what I make is ME. I am doing this for me first, my relaxation, enjoyment and sanity. If others like it too that is just bonus. If they don't it does not mean they don't like me just don't like what I have made and oh well, we are all entitled to our opinions. Either way, YES we all like you. I would love to meet you and everyone else on this site in person. I think if we had a get together it would be the blast of the century with or without the sewing.

I think the highest compliment is having the approval of our peers. Not that you have to like everything that someone does but to be part of this group is so good for us. I feel so good being part of this and being included and having so many friends.
I was only half joking and I am like you and I do things for me, my relaxation and sanity. Quilting has been a life line for me.I love it and it makes me whole.

I'll do the quilting myself on Ellie. I've never had a quilt done by a LAQ and I like the fact that I did the whole thing. It's part of it being all mine, I guess. Plus, I am cheap and can't afford it!

I like doing all of it myself too. It would be nice if you could find somewhere that lets you rent time on a longarm to quilt your large quilt. It would make it much easier than tussling it thru your machine. Just enjoy the process. Anxious to see what you do to finish it.
