Prairie Dog:And what's a SBS?
Prairie Dog
SBS is Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. I am working on the quilt in the SBS group. We are doing it a block at a time so to speak. I have gotten very far behind and am just now starting to work on my blocks again. Check out the group. It is a beautiful quilt and has been lots of fun to make. Learning lots of new skills as well.

Good Morning Steph, what has you up so early? I have to go in early to make up for playing hookie yesterday lol.

Good Morning to you! I'm an early bird lately. Waking up on my own at about 4 am. I like it. So quiet and peaceful in the mornings. Nothing going on but the sounds of my snoring rottweilers. LOL
Hope you have a great day and feel refreshed after playing hookie....
We did that once as a family when my son was young. We all took off from work and school and had a "just for us" day. It was great, every now and then my son would ask if we could play hookie again. I think it was more to bring back that big smile to my face and remember the day...
The only snoring going on here is that of DH lol. I would really like to stay home today also, But my check book says NO.
I hear that! We are blessed with a lot of work right now and I've been pedal to the metal. I spent 8 hours yesterday taping the baseline and laying floor paper. Not an easy task for a gal my age. If we stay this busy, hopefully we'll be able to put on a couple more workers that can help. We have been able to bring back the two we had to lay off earlier this year, so I can work on site Mon, Wed and Friday and take off Tues and Thurs for paperwork and non physical stuff. This schedule works well for me. Gives my achy, breaky self time to re-coup and be spot on for the next day.
Any way, hope your day goes by fast......
Steph, so glad your business has picked up, with things still a little uncertain right now,
I've have worked for the same company for 30 years now, We always have our slow times, but this year has been a little slower than usual, but they have kept us working for the most part.
Leslie,
That's good to hear. 30 years! Are you in a countdown to retirement yet?
i have not worked n a quilt yet today, but I have been to the gallery and have had my dose of motivation. Wow, some great quilts there. Brenda's lambs are wonderful, and CockCake, you are such an artist. Now off to work. The earlier I go, the sooner I can come home. I have decided to squish my work into 4 days a week beginning the second week of November. One less drive to town, and more energy for sewing.

Today is the 28th and getting ready for trick or treat. I have written 2 hours on my calendar today to work on my golden dragon quilt.
Ann McDaniel:I stopped by my desk
Ann: Don't you just hate it when you plan to do just a few things and then the day is nearly gone!
I had a dental appointment in Bend. That's a 120 miles from home and a two plus hour drive. So when I get over there, I have a lot of shopping to do. The quilt stores are my reward for getting the business stuff done. And I always make sure I get my reward!
Welcome to QCA if I haven't welcomed you before! "Ole Timers" you know.
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.
