He will probably have to stay overnight but shouldn't require any PT. All in all it is a relatively simple procedure as far as back surgery goes and he has an excellent surgeon so everything should go fine. Thanks for the extra prayers.
Nana, will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers.
I had the date marked on my calendar for Lewis. My thoughts and prayers are being sent as we speak. This will be a big load off your minds once it is over with. Surgery is always nerve racking.

Here is the pretty fall rose that I was trying to cheer up Thea with. Such a thing of beauty. It even
That is a very pretty rose Diane, Glad you posted it. My knock out roses are still blooming, I think they are so pretty reminds me of the old fashion roses I remember as a kid.
My mind is fuzzier than usual as I was thinking of you sitting cutting the backs off stockings that you wear and wondering why in the world you would do so when it clicked you meant quilted Christmas stockings. I have been miserable with flu this week and my pains have come back whith a vengance but on the plus side I make a good weather forecaster LOL.. I used to think people who could forcast the weather with aches and pains were amazing now I know it comes with age and I am only 54! And to top it off I looked down the other week and someone had stolen my legs and left my Mothers in there place and I saw her in the mirror but where she was slim in the mirror she was fat.
I will add Lewis and yourself to my prayers Nana and I hope all goes well.
Thank you for the prayers. Isn't it amazing the things that sneak up on us as we get older....gray hair, wrinkles, age spots, old woman hands and feet. Just can hardly believe that they belong to me.....LOL> Hope those flu symptoms leave quickly. I got my flu shot the middle of Oct. Felt a little achy that week but now feel fine. Hopefully it will prevent the flu for me......
jay-marie :saw her in the mirror
Jay-Marie: Why is that? Our mothers in our mirror's. Only in my case it's my maternal Grandmother that is in my mirror. I loved her dearly but, get out of my mirror!
Nana: My thoughts are with you and Lewis. I understand your worry. Sometimes, we know toooooo much.
I haven't worked on a quilt for a number of days, but, I went shopping yesterday for fabric for baby quilts. My grand-children's friends are getting married and then you know what that brings! I have a feeling that there will be a granddaughter wedding in the near future. I best get ready for that. Like -- lose 40 lbs and get a quilt made. I wonder if I can just stop eating and only sew and sleep if that will do it? What is that I hear? Oh-- I have to walk and do some exercise. You mean lifting fabric and sitting then standing at the ironing board and cutting table aren't enough?!
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.

LOL Patty Mc. If that was the case I would be skinny.
LOL Snowbird- I wish I had gone shopping! I stopped by my desk only to work on a few things before I went out to work on some Christmas projects and here I remain at 2:20. Perhaps I will be able to slip away from it (the desk) later this evening. Ughhh.
Thanks for the rose Diane. It's a gloomy day here and I need something bright and cheery.
Nana, my calendar is marked as well. I hope your DH has an uneventful surgery, sounds like he will, and that you both come through it OK.
I've been working on MQ3 today. Ladies I tell you it helps to have someone to talk to. I was ready to scrap this project but Nana talked me down off my perfectionist's ledge. LOL.
I hope you all are having a great day. I'm preparing for work.
Marge (AKA Dimples):so it's tomorrow that he has his surgery
Yup Marge so we should all say a prayer at 2:00 pm for Lewis. Count me in.
That was so abrupt, sorry. My prayers will be with you Nana and Lewis that all turns out well for both of you. Sending love and hugs your way.
Thanks everyone for the prayers. They are much appreciated.
I did work on two SBS blocks today. One was fairly easy and went quickly. The other was a pain in the patootie and I definitely won't be using it in a quilt anytime in the near or distant future....LOL>
I hope all goes well and I'll be praying too. And what's a SBS?
