Diane Morgan:On the BOM you started in the center and QAYG in sections around it. It's a mess. I thought it was just me so I'm glad to know that Carol has the same problem.
Diane
The quilt that I am working on started with a panel in the center and I have been adding blocks around the center. Alot like the BOM. But instead of cutting the backing for that center section I cut a strip of backing to fit the entire length of the finished quilt and put my top piece in the middle. As I have added more rounds I added two full length sections on the sides of the backing. Now the batting is a different matter. I keep piecing it together as I need more.

aren't cats amazing? We still cannot figure out what is wrong with our baby Bartholomew. He is still not quite pounds. Yesterday morning our big cat, BarackoHarveyBama, lost his voice. He is a very talkative cat and this was scary. The exam and xrays showed nothing. This morning they did the test where they stick the tube down his throat to look at the esophogus. They didn't find anything. He was given a steroid shot in case he has asthma. I was afraid he had eaten thread, but he is eating and playing normally. So this past week, we have spent close to 800.00 and no one knows anything. They are our kittren, it is just money.

kim:I have never seen a cat bond like that to a person before.
Kim,
when my MIL gave me our two cats she warned me that Orca didn't seem very friendly (they were three months old at the time). As soon as she was out of the carrier she rubbed her face on me and has been "my cat" ever since. She loves to be where I am and she sits on my lap while I'm sewing. She also gets into bed when I do.
Oco is a very gentle cat but he's shy. He seems to sense when I'm feeling sick or down. That's when he sticks by my side. He's a great comfort.
Anyway back to quilting, I've been cutting today. I cut the light fabrics for MQ 3 and I cut some appliqué pieces. I'm on a snack break. Maybe I'll cut some more MQ 3 fabric after I finish here.

That's what I meant, too. I'll do it in three sections starting with the center backing from top to bottom and batting and quilt that and then add to the sides. That's once I ever get to my UFO pile!

I hope your kitties will be o.k. They sure are big loves in our lives. We have four and each one is different and I love them all.
Marge,
I won't be going to the Atlanta quilt show...too far. Jacksonville is only 2 hours from Savannah so I try to go every year.

Thanks Nana and Gini.
That dark is actually brown and the light is cream. I took the photo with my cell phone. My camera is missing. Must be hanging out with Gini's.
