Leslie, your quilts are all very beautiful! I especially like "Nightmare". Good job and congrats on having only three more UFO's to go.

Nana: I turned off the email notification on mine. Instead I come to the site several times a day and click on forums. Any forum that has new messages that I haven't read will hightlight in blue. I then click on the last page or possible go back a page or two depending on how long it has been since I checked the forums. I then start reading and just read each page. Anything I want to respond to I then click on reply. I have found that it is easier to keep up that way and don't have as much stuff in my email to deal with. I found that the emails were more random and much harder to keep in context.

Well, I must be doing something wrong because I'm still getting lots of emails. Hmmm, will have to go back and check again.

Does anyone know what is going on with this Anonymous person that keeps popping up? Is there a way to report so their posts get blocked? Anyone else noticed or know what I'm talking about?

Wow, I love all your quilts! Way to go on the UFO pile. I wish I was as caught up as you but have a very long way to go!!

Jean,
admin is consolidating the forums. As they move messages to a new forum we wind up with email from "annonymous". Just delete them. They should be done by tomorrow then this will stop.
Again I want to thank everyone on your nice comments about my quilts. Thankyou

Kris,
Thanks. How do you know so much?? If only I had half your brain!!!
I'm not sure you want any of this brain. LOL
I know the answer because I posted the question under "Report Issues Here" and got the answer from admin.

the extra anonymous post that are showing up in emails are coming from where Liz is reorganizing the forums section. She hopes to be done soon and is very sorry that everyone is having this issue.

I made another SBS block and cut some more DJ blocks. I also pulled out some fabric for an appliqué block. I'm off to bed now.
Kris - you are moving along with both SBS and DJ - I need to get some more of mine done... have been so ill and busy with other things that it just sits there... but I do want to get some out so that time on the front porch will be spent hand sewing on them... although my SBS blocks are foundation pieced not hand stitched... DJ is all hand done...
I have to work on the cat blocks for Chicago today...they should go quickly now that I have all the applique done... although have decided to do a little more on some on the frames...
and working on my Quiltoholic shirt... it is a big blue paint shirt that I am embroidering on with Quilt themed designs... plus will have cats and butterflies on it... teehee - I have been working on it in the evenings when my RA rears its ugly head again - which is usually around sunset - only got one design done yesterday - took 5 hours to do... good thing I started it fairly early - 32 thread changes... looks neat though...
Althea,
Your Quiltaholic embroiderd shirt sounds great!! Be sure and send us a pic!
Jean - Yes Mam! i will definitely post a picture of it - have been thinking of it for a long time and just plunged in... collected all my quilting embroidery patterns and one by one am putting them on the shirt - all over it...teehee
Hi all! Thought I would join in the discussion today. I am working on a king sized quilt from a block of the month program my LQS ran last year. I call it "The Beast". I started to machine quilt it but didn't like how it looked so I took out those stiches. Tried again with a simple stitch in the ditch and didn't like that either, so now I am hand quilting it. I have never done this before but what I have done looks OK. It is in Kansas Troubles fabric Winter Serenade 2 line which is a civil war reproduction line. What I am doing is a line of quilting about 1/4" from the seams in cream thread with a bigger stitch length so it looks a little rustic. I never realised how long this is going to take. I worked on it last night for about an hour and a half and finished less then 1/4 of 1 block! This is going to take forever!

Kim,
Hang in there girl, you'll go faster as you get used to it and more practice in. It will take some time but be ever so worth it when you are done!!
