We recently remodeled our kitchen, and when the contractor was about to throw out the old cabinets, I stopped him and had him hang them in my sewing room! No more totes with labels and digging through the to find my stash! Now, i have kitchen cupboards on every wall in my sewing room and all I have to do to find anything is open a door! One wall holds cupboards that hold my stash, the next, patterns quilting rulers, etc! Another holds threads... i love it as I can hide a TON of stuff :-)
great idea, and welcome to QCA

Great idea. I am jealous. Welcome to the group and hope you enjoy your time with us.
Welcome and congratulations on your repurposing project.
Welcome, Cveins. You make me want to remodel my kitchen just to get cabinets in the sewing room.
Welcome! Sounds like you have a quilting studio rather then a sewing "room". when I moved my sewing room into a larger room. I hung my rulers from nials on the side of my cutting table. And a place for my rotarty cutter right by the rulers. But, wish I had cabinets. Wow!
Welcome and I am glad you joined QCA, Cviens. That is a wonderful way to reuse stuff you already have in the house. Here I am using a dresser that was empty since my boys are gone to live their own life . This is helping me sort out through my stuff and make plans for future quilt. It is really a wonderful way to organize stash and scraps!
