Beautiful work Nana, the sail reminds me of the old song " Red Sails in the Sunset" I know the sails are white but still....
You can "whip" things up quicker than anybody I've ever seen.
Really cute Kim.
Love everyone's projects they are sharing, all very nice. I did manage to complete two sets of placements , a couple tie quilts, pot holders & a couple mug rugs today.
Still need to do alittle baking & wrap the gifts.
Wanted to wish everyone a very merry christmas and happy holidays.
I was away from my email for 3 short days and when I came back I had 327 updates from QCA. whew! I love the pics I have seen! There are too many too comment on, but they are all GREAT! I finished up my customer orders yesterday and today I cut some DWR kits that I plan to put on my website next week. This one is black, powder blue, and silver. Lots of room for custom quilting... Someone (several pages back...) had mentioned pre cut kits, I agree, they are the only way to do any quilt that requires templates...IMHO...
I probably won't be on the computer much the next two days, my boys are still in school, while I am already on break, gotta make hay...
Have a Merry Christmas (or other various holidays that you may celebrate...)
That is a very pretty color combination in the DWR.

Jeanine........Love the stockings so darn cute-may santa fill them to the rim....ho ho ho
Love your VB filler blocks, Nana, especially the sailboat - the background looks hand painted! Those blocks are huge! We're doing the usual 8-1/2 inch for the exchange, aren't we?
Kim, what a fun pillow for a boy! Love the embellishments!
Jeanine, wonderful stockings! I especially like the green polka dot cuff with the great lettering!

I had fun sewing with my friend/neighbor Terri this afternoon. She completed a paper doll pillow for her granddaughter and now needed to quickly assemble a couple of outfits for it because the family gift exchange is on Friday. I told her I could come down and help with that. I guess I still love playing with dolls.
Here is the doll pillow:
Here is the outfit I made:

It took each of us three hours to make our dresses. Very putzy work! All of our edges are neatly turned under!
I had a blast doing this, so while Terri is at work tomorrow, I'm going to make another one! After that, Terri and granddaughter Maya (2nd grader) will have fun working on outfits together.
The paper doll set is precious. There is going to be a very happy little girl.
My applique blocks are 12 in blocks. Yes we are doing 8 1/2 in exchange blocks. I like to use blocks of different sizes in a sampler quilt. That is why I am making some bigger blocks. I will also need to make some 4 1/2 in blocks.
jeanine, i love the mix of fabric you used in your stockings.
nancy, the paper doll quilt is cute as can be, nice work
