Marge, you are super woman!!!
Tell me about the pillows for the Animal Shelter. What size are they? Do you just make them for the animals to sleep on, or, do they have a bazaar where they are sold to raise money? Our Vet asks for donations of blankets, as does the local Animal Shelter, for the dogs and kitties. You just put fabric scraps in to stuff them, huh? Sounds like something that we could do here. Hmm............
I did, I did sew today, I loved it. It had been so long, I cut out a baby quilt and began sewing. I hope to assemble a quitl tomorrow and begin quilting it Thursday. Just feels so great to be back at sewing with friends. Being so busy every day with the yardwork, the work at school and running around getting house cleaned, visiting friends.... After all only 24 hours in a day...
But I'll be back at quilting tomorrow for sure.

I did some sewing today. I was sewing them seams shut after stuffing the bean bags. One of the bean bags slipped and the needle caught in the "bead" style stuffing and went off center. Broke a piece on the sewing machine plate. So frustrated.....aaaarrrrggghhh.

Oh and also not only did I break a piece on the sewing machine but there is crayon melted all over the dryer drum and 2 loads of clothes. Why 2 loads of clothes you ask......well because the person that flipped the load of clothes didn't think there was anything wrong with a bright blue dryer drum . Double aaaarrrrrgggghhhh.
OH NANA!! so sorry what a day
Today was the first day we used my Quilting Cabin!! So much fun to have quilting friends over and enough room to piece and sew and visit and snack and press and sew some more. Our group has met before in a very small space and could not get much done other than visit and have show and tell of the things we got done at home. Today, we started putting together some more Nursing Home quilts so we'll have them as needed for replacements (they wash them so much, they are starting to fade already, so we figure they will need to be replaced).
As you can see, the other half of the room is for exercise equipment - I use the Gazelle and Bike every day, but today was much more fun, using sewing machines and visiting with friends! We hope to keep doing this every couple weeks - we have only met once a month before. (I took the pictures, so none of me!)
Carol, this is so awesome , I wish I someplace like this to get together with friends to sew , I'm so jealous LOL Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Oh Carol, that is soo neat. Wish I lived nearby, that would be an awesome treat, to be able to quilt with friends and with so much room. I'm kind off jealous. Ginny
OH my goodness, I thought it was bad enough that you broke a piece on your machine. But the dryer and the 2 loads of clothes--OH NO I don't know what eelse to say except like you--the person that did that needs to be in the next state for awhile or he wouldn't be alive much longer.LOL ....Ginny
I have actually been quilting every day! Today I even got a full day in.
I finished the baby quilt..
