Joyce Brenden:
When will you get cuddle time with him?

Probably won't even get to see him until he is at least 3 or 4 yrs old.  They are stationed in Germany.  If we could just reach into the computer and hug them!!!  Technology is good, but not that good.  At our ages, we probably won't get passports and fly overseas!  That is a LONG trip for achy bodies.

Thank you everyone for your well-wishes for Lincoln.

LaJuan Sukochi Lee:

YEE HAW. The new Elm Creek Qulters book, The Wedding Quilt is out. I am next on the hold list at our Library. Can't wait for that one.

Sukochi, I have all of the Elm Creek Quilt Series books and DH and I went to Barnes and Noble today so that I could get the Wedding Quilt.  I had a 50% off coupon and one for 30% off.  As it turned out the book was already 20% off so I used the 30% off coupon and gave DH the 50% offf coupon to use for his purchase. I really needed the book to read on the drive to DH's 5k race and to have something to do while he ran the race.

Marsha, congratulation on your newest great grandson. He is adorable and how blessed y'all are to have him with you. I have a new granddaughter, 12 days old, and every time I hold her I just think what a miracle I am holding.

I started painting my living room about a month ago and ran out of steam and will try to finish today. I don't mind the painting, but hate all the prep work, lol. Also have to catch up on  laundry and household chores. I have been on vacation for a few days and played instead of doing chores. HaHa, don't regret it a bit. But it is back to work on Monday so I have to get something done.

I have a quilt on the design wall trying to decide if I like the block placement. It is a scrappy quilt and I am a matchy-matchy so it is hard for me. I hope to make the earth shattering decision today and get it sewed together. I also want to take apart MQ5, remove the sashing and put it together again. Gee, why am I on the computer?

what am I going to do today?  well i am off work till Monday.  and I am thinking about   playing with some of the things that i found at the quilt festival.  either a twister quilt, or maybe a book mark.  don't know which one yet.  i haven't made up my mind. LOL  I DO STILL need to work on that mariners watch and get it quilted for sure though....hmmmm decisions decisions.  My Dh is home today until 3.  that also throws a wrench into my day.  Not sure what he wants to do/needs help to do.  guess we will find out when he gets up and around...

happy quitling everyone!

Just killing time until Joni gets here and we head out for our free motion class at A Scarlet Thread.  This will be our routine for the next three weeks.  I hope I can learn something.  :o)  This old brain doesn't absorb things as quickly as it used to.

Dave bought a new laptop and spent most of yesterday getting everything set up.  It is going to take a little bit for me to get used to this one.  I like the larger display screen he got!  It is some off the wall brand but at least it doesn't have Windows Vista!  That drove me to distraction!
