Jeanine,
Great job! You should share a back picture. I'd love to see the quilting using the varigated thread. Which this one was mine.
Betcha it came out looking great!
Here's my latest off the frame. It's a small 30" X 30" Carpenter Star I did for a class sample on a class I'm teaching on the 24th. I did all free hand stars on it.

Ramona: Is that freehand or with a ruler?

It is freehand. It wasn't too bad since I used the quilt blocks as a guide.

The back is black with different color bright dots. I will take a picture of the back tonight before I deliver it tomorrow. I wish I could keep it, too!
You are clever. Your lines are just so straight. Mine would be all over the place. Again, great job!
Cinday,
That's a wonderful Carpenter Star!! Great job and the stars were a perfect quilting idea.
Cindy,
That is such a complex quilt to be so easy to do and you did a really great job! I see the growth with each project that you complete!
Congrats on a job very well done!

I had my quilt day yesterday. We had about 20 very active quilters! As I do every month, I count the number of quilt tops we have on hand to see how much progress we are making to getting more quilts finished than we are making new tops. Last month we had 105 and this month it is up to 115!!! I guess I better stop doing so much practicing and just get them done!! We have delivered 168 so far this year and have 20 finished quilts on hand. I just can't get enough people on board with finishing them. I will keep plowing forward ...
My niece came up from KC for quilt day and I had her quilt one of the group quilts. She did good.
And my mom gave my dad his quilt. He loved it!
one more to share...my mom and Niece finished an Eclectic Fever quilt top. They made a good team.
Jeanine, what a beautiful pic! I wish my mom would quilt with me. I have tried and she says she would get bored. She just doesn't like to do anything. Oh well.........it is what it is. Count yourself blessed! Quilting would be an awesome shared experience!

My mom just started quilting about five years ago...after I moved to a different state. She never would when I lived close. I do enjoy it, though. My daughter and niece love it, too. It is great to have them all come to my quilt retreat every year and spending a long weekend quilting with them. Or when they come up just to take over my quilt studio ...and fabric stash.
Ibet that you both had fun!

I moved out here to help her as she is getting older and took a bad fall several years ago that left her with physical injuries. She has been better since I got here but maybe I should move away to get her to quilt?.............Nah, that wouldn't work.
