Sweet! Vivian, the quilting you chose goes perfectly with your quilt. It looks so clean, crisp and springy. You must be so relieved and proud!.
Here is your great big Atta Girl !
Vivian, I didn't know you worked free-motion, too. I am impressed! I also have a very small room and every inch is accounted for, I can not work behind Miss Jewel either.
Great Job Vivian! You did a fantastic job on it! I agree with Judy...ATTA GIRL!
Perfect choice for quilting Vivian! It's gorgeous.
I'm fighting tension issues too and have a friend's quilt hand pieced and appliqued by her grandmother! Want to resolve those tension issues SOON! :-D
I put the quilt on my bed and it looks fab. Of course now that I have found the binding ( in my string bin!!) I can bind it.
I put a charity quilt on the frame and because it is dark mottled brown and the top is busy, the tension is perfect. Can't win for losing.
Cindy / Jeanine your quilts are really fab. love all the colors and the vines / leaves were great for the garden quilt.
Everyone seems to be getting so much done. I spent yesterday at hospice quilting and was trying to catch up today. Got a club meeting in the morning then need to load a quilt for a client in the afternoon. Would like to say I will get it done tomorrow, but I know better. I also have a LQS BOM I need to quilt. I love it that there is always one more thing to do.
Finally I got my quilts finished and into 2 quilt shows... yeah
This one won 1st in large contemporary and best longarm quilting in one show and 1st in large made by one person and best of show in the other.
whoops the last photo is side was, oh well, this one is for my son and won 3rd in large traditional
a better shot of the quilting
again another side was shot, I need to learn how to take better pictures that show the actual quilting, I will try this one
Your quilts are stunning! I love soft, feminine colored quilts but alas my DH does not. I really like the scalloped border, it really accents the quilt!
Jeanine, you have been quilting for some time now,you should have great muscle memory. Free motion is mostly practice. The same thing you did when you learned to do pantos. lining those babies up takes practice as well.
My mom and I are new to this site and it has been fun learning what others are doing. Here is a quilt that mom pieced and we both quilted it. We bought a longarm machine about a year ago and we are having a great time!
