Thanks, so much Nancy & everyone else, too! I will check that out. I'm also planning on going to the Sewing Expo in Raleigh in June. Maybe there will be some good contacts there, too. Have a super day!

I quilted a quilt for a friend yesterday that had a minkee backing. Has anyone done that on their longarms? It went better than I thought but I did have to fight the stretch a little. I think I need to try this a couple more times to understand the best way to make it work but I was happy with the outcome. The quilt is going to be used for a baby quilt. It is made of curtains from the 50's (the cowboy blocks) and I think it is really neat.
jeanine, thisis neat quilt. i can't say i like quilting with minke, but i love the results
Jeanine, that is so cute, love the cowboy theme. I've never quilted on minky, I did use it on my MIL lap quilt for the back but I tied the quilt.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Turned out very nice, Jeanine....Ginny

The quilt is really cute. Minkee is a little harder to quilt with but the end result is beautiful.

Jeanine, I have quilted on my longarm with minkey. I used the selvage edges on the bars so I didn't have stretch and the rest worked out great.

I quilted a twin size with fleece on the back. I pinned the layers together then loaded it on my frame. It worked great and I had no problems.
Nice quilt Jeanine. Love the quilting.
very nice< Jeanine,
I love all the old stuff!
I finally finished my client's 1930's qult. She just wanted the binding replaced but the fabric around the border was so weak and the batting was shot. So, it was a complete rebuild. Can you spot the flower pot and flower centers that I replaced? I hope not! I ended up replacing the batting and backing as well. I hand quilted the quilt, OMG am I out of the Longarm share now? LOL! Miss Jewel is lonely!

Great job redoing that quilt, JudyLee. I am not even going to guess at what you replaced. It all looks beautiful. Ginny
