Elizabeth - You have been busy.  Great quilts.  I really like the personalization.  I'm sure I will have to invest in an embroidery machine someday.

Nice work, Elizabeth!  The colors in your sister's wedding quilt are especially striking.

I zoomed in tight on Hawaiian Sunset, but I can't see the stitches well.  Did you use invisible thread?  Am I seeing stars?  I'm asking because I haven't decided how to finish my MQ yet.

Nancy You are seeing stars!  Kt is the random stars groovy board.  I uses Aurifil 50wt thread in a varigated light yellow to light orange.  Here is a picture of the back, the stitches show up better

Judy I know what you mean about the solar tube magnifying the light.  I had 2 put in my kitchen that has no outdoor light-no windows in it.  It is so nice and bright that my GGS wants me to turn that light off too when I turn the kitchen lght off.  At 18 months it was hard for him to understand about sunlight, then he was really confused when moonlight came in at night.  I love my solar tubes, I don't think I would have stayed in my home if I didn't have them....Ginny

Hi MNnancy,

I love my light but it doesn't help alot on rainy days except to make me sleepy . The rain has such a pleasant sound.

Hi Ginny,

I also have the solar tube in my galley kitchen for the same reason.  It really looks funny at night when I leave the light on in the kitchen an go outside...the aliens have landed! LOL!  My DH even put one in his "man cave".

Gee Judy, I never thought of how it would look at night on the outside.   Guess I'll have to take a walk up my hill to see it....Ginny

Ginny and Vivian,

You guys made my day! My DH has a true "MAN Cave" complete with a plaque above the door declaring it so.  He has a barn that has all the ammenities that he could possibly need!  It is like the USPS commercial. He has PC's, microwave, big screen flat Screen TV, Toilet, work bench, Twin bed, refridgerator and recliner.  So when he is sent to the Cave he really suffers! LOL!
