I know this discussione started on the TL but has anyone heard anything about the Homesteader brand ? It comes with stitch regulator and side computer and frame for about $9899. Just haven't found anybody who has used one. Any body with info???

Nana - wish I could help you but have not heard of this one - I will contact my friend Vickie - she sends me emails about all the different mid arms and long arms - she is actively searching - I am not...lol but I'll ask her if she has heard of this one...
I've heard of the Nana. There is a really good Yahoo group that covers all frames and machines they are very active. Once you join there is a lot of information
There are a couple of Yahoo groups that are really helpful, the one that I like best for this is HomeQuiltingSystems They have a data base used machines for sale and a large list of help files.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
I think spud has covered it so I'll not bother Vickie...lol
NM wrong thread
Thanks Spud
Your welcome Nana. I hope you will find lots of useful info on the home quilter site. I read everything I could find, for almost two years, before buying my frame and machine. I'm happy with them but wish I could have gottne a longer arm machine. At least my frame allows me to move to a larger machine without getting a new frame.
My frame is made to accomadate a larger machine....now I need money...LOL

That seems to be my problem also. What frame and machine do you have now.

Me too, I have a Brother with a 9" throat, is that the size you are using?
Spud Yes it has 9 in throat but it is a great machine to learn if you're really going to enjoy LAQ without the big expense.
Wow ladies, I thought I had lost you!! Yes, definitely I will take pictures when I can. Some vendors do not want you taking pictures, but there are a lot of them who do. I am soooo looking forward to going. I just wish some of you could be here to share in the excitement.
I am really leaning toward a Tin Lizzie. I just have to do a trial run on it before I am totally sold. We have a dealer that is not too far away. They offer retreats and everything. They are about 50 miles from me, but less than a mile from my son and his family.
For those of you who live in small towns, we can drive 50 miles and never leave Houston. What joy!!!
Anyway, I am glad I found the thread again. Have a great day tomorrow!!

Linda Lou,
I wish we could be there to share in your excitement also. I hope you get a good chance to take the TL for a test drive. We want pictures and a TL report. I'm going to really try to go to SLC next spring and try one out. We will see. There is a representative around here also, I should give her a call and drive over to OR and try hers out.
Anyway have a great time!!!

That is one big city - that is like the city I grew up very close to - Rochester NY - we lived in a suburb but the towns went from one to the next - you didn't have any space in between like you do here in Oklahoma.
I have been to Houston - my DSIL lives there - and I agree it is huge!
Have tons of fun! I can't wait for pictures of the quilts - I know the thing about the vendors and can't blame them but I do want to see the entries - isn't there a special show going on too...
wish I was there with you - one of these years!
