I have finally finished my Lambie Baby quilt for my son and daughter-in-law who are doing the nusery in neutral colors as they do not want to know the gender.  Baby is due December 7th  Thank you for your suggestions.  Here is a picture of the final product.  I took several of your suggestions - Minkie lambies from a "coloring  book" page and have half triangles and scalloped edges - I did buy a scallop maker tool - and the book - worked like a dream - well worth the money - anyway here it is.  I named it "Sweet Dreams' and wrote a poem for the label!

Linda your Lambie quilt is so sweet.  I know the new addition will love cuddling with it.   The neutrals are a neat idea     although I don't think I know anyone who doesn't find out the sex anymore.  I think I enjoyed the surprise when I had may babies.

Here's the poem:

Sweet dreams my precious grandchild, for the day is done.

The moon is here to say goodnight to the setting sun.

Gather your lambie quilt and climb into your bed.

Close your little eyes and lay down your sleepy head.

Rest for now with peaceful dreams of twinking stars and shining moon beams.

Linda--

So cute!  Your scalloped edges give it such a nice finish.

That is a great quilt, Linda. I love the colors and really like the poem. Dec. 7, huh? That was my maternal grandmother's birthday. :-)
