I'm new! to QCA, not to quilting :)  and heading to So Cal in a couple weeks.  Will be in the Riverside area.  Can anyone suggest quilt shops I should visit?

Hi, Beth!

Although I am in Colorado, I lived in Southern Cal for awhile, and, oh, my goodness!  There are so many quilt shops all over the place!  If you actually web search for RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA QUILT SHOPS you will probably see there are 2 inside Riverside, and you get maps, too.  THEN it shows all kinds of shops further west towards the ocean, such as in Costa Mesa and Brea, AND if you want to go almost straight south you will find yourself in SAN MARCOS, which is where Eleanor Burns has HER shop!  Here is HER website:

http://www.quilt-in-a-day.com/eleanorandcompany/

It is not as far as San Diego, and from where you are going, I believe San Diego is only about a 2 1/2 hr drive.  I am so jealous! I miss Southern California!  You will have a lot of fun!  Oh, and if you get lost traveling on Harbor Boulevard (since the sky is always so gray and you can't tell if you are headed north, south, east or west) just remember:  If you pass Disneyland you are going NORTH, and if you hit the beach, you are headed SOUTH WEST.  ;D  You will be HOT inland, where you will be, but the closer you get to the beach the cooler it gets.

Welcome!  And let us know how So Cal is treating you!

Bella  :D
