I'm moving the discussion of Mark's resignation to a separate thread. What Happy wrote is true - Mark has resigned from everything but his site. You can read his blog here:

I hope what ever happened to cause this gets resolved with everyone being able to smile at the end.  I was just getting to know Mark on the program and in the magazine.  I can only imagine that it had to be something catastrophic and I wish him nothing but good wishes for his life.

WHY WHY WHY!

What's going to happen to QOL?

I just renewed my subscription to "Quilter's Home".

Well, I'm living in my blonde bubble, did not have a clue anything had happened.

Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy -and- sorrow, stitched with love

I think we all were, Spud! The first I heard about it was when I read Happy's msg after she read his blog.

OMG!  The magazine is called "Mark Lipinski's Quilt at Home" afterall, and I just started a subscription and received my first issue.  I wonder where that leaves things.

I wonder if Jodie could chime in and give us details, or maybe contractually she can't talk about it.

I hope Mark doesn't resign his positions with Quilter's Home Magazine and Quilt Out Loud! I subscribed to them because of HIM! I love HIM! He is refreshing, bright and fun! I love what he does  for quilting! I can't put his magazine down when I get it in the post and I re-read it a number of times. As far as Quilt Out Loud goes, he makes the show vibrant! After watching 3 episodes I wanted more of them and at quicker intervals. Jodi is sweet and talented but I watched because of Mark. His ideas were/are cutting edge and very interesting! Please, Please ask him to come back to both ventures!
If he doesn't, I will probably drop my viewership for lack of interest!
I hope he is alright and that his family is fine! I only hope for the best for him! He is in my thoughts and prayers!
Warmest Regards,
Lesley

Do you think they'll refund the cost of the subscription now that he's gone?

WOW!!!! How disappointing. I really enjoy reading his magazine and was looking forward to more Quilt Out Loud videos. He brings such energy and a different point of view to quilting. I hope whatever he ventures in that it will be even better and bigger.

If I'm reading everything correctly, Janie, both QOL and OH will still exist, Mark just won't be involved with them. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, we just don't always know what that reason is at that moment. I'm sure QOL will continue, but only Jodie will be the host. I've enjoyed the segments she's done sans Mark, so I don't think that will change a lot. As for the magazine, maybe it needs some different input/ideas. I've only read one issue, so I have nothing to baste opinions. I did read that in the last magazine, a new editor-in-chief was listed, but, apparently, according to the PicklesRoad list, she quit on Monday. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I for one am so happy I found this site. It doesn't feel overwhelming, and I love talking quilts. Once in a while I even sew! LOL!

I was happy for Jodie that she got someone interesting to co-host her QOL program but I know that she will continue on and maybe find someone else to host with her or do it on her own.  I joined QCA because of Jodie Davis - not Mark Lipinski - he is a nice addition but Jodie was my reason for continuing at QNNtv and now QCA - she had a dream and I will be watching QOL and enjoying QCA - even without Mark.  I wish him the best and hope that whatever he decides to do that he be blessed.  Those are his decisions - it won't stop me from being a quiltoholic and enjoying this site though.
