Hello! I have been a member since 2010, but haven't chatted until now. I am 51, married, with three grown daughters, all married. I have four wonderful grandchildren and another one on the way! I began quilting when I was forty basically teaching myself with books. I don't get to quilt nearly as much as I would like to since I work full-time. My first quilt was for my nephew, a baby block pattern. After that I decided to make each daughter a quilt made from scraps from the dresses my mom made them when they were little. They are wall hangings and Watercolor log cabin patterns. They were lots of fun. I have made quilts now for my grandchildren, have two twin size quilts in the works for my nephews, and another one in the works for my guest room. My dream is to retire in a couple of years and spend much more time quilting.
I look forward to learning more about quilting through this club.
Welcome Cindy!!!

Welcome Cindy. This is a great group, I have only been a member for a month but have found so much useful information. I self-taught myself to quilt as well although so much of my family on my mom's side are quilter's.

Jaci, if you look on the bottom of your screen actually the information bar ( the Activity or I'm working on it bar) ( mine is in green and puts up another green bar as it progresses working on loading or down loading) it should tell you if you send the message. I sent several twice because it takes so long to upload anything and if i hadn't noticed the activity bar would have sent many many notes several times. uploading pictures is even longer.
