Hello!
My name is JaNean and I am a stay at home mom/ Genealogist and I started quilting about two years ago. My late grandmother LOVED quilting and had rooms full of fabric when she passed away. I am doing my part in trying to use as much of it as we can as a family. I have finished two quilts, and have two tops pieced, and like many other quilters, I have more projects than I do time. I have two small children (18 and 4 months old) so I don't get much time to do a lot of sewing. My wonderful husband just helped me clean out our basement junk room though so I can have a permanent space to keep my projects. :)
I'm exited to be a part of a community of quilters, since I was never able to take advantage of my grandmother's knowledge before she died. I love to work on projects with more modern fabrics, but as my husband came from a family of Civil War re-enactors I am interested in some reproduction prints and antique patterns. I hope to post some of my projects soon.
