Very nice sewing space.  Wish I had all the storage space.

Very nice, Sherry Ann.  Very well organized.  I see a few inovative storage ideas in there, too.  Thanks for sharing it.

Ok, Jodi here is my sewing room but you have to remember that my room is very small and this is only the one half, the other half is my computer desk and shelf unit that holds all my books and sewing odds and ends.here are my kitty helpers

Marilyn I love your kitties and your room looks to be a good size. My space is about 6 feet x 8 feet and I need more room.

actually my room is about 10x12 but with all the tables and desks and shelves in here there is about a 2 foot square in the centre of the room to stand.  My DD is taking the shelf with her and then I can move the old sewing machine and my quilt stand into the room she is vacating and I will have more room to buy and store more fabric in LOL

Marilyn~

Your room is a very comfortable at home sewing room. Mine is like this, too and the walking around space is getting smaller and smaller. I'm working on two different machines right now so I'm tripping over chairs and cords and foot pedals and portable design wall. The cats are getting aggravated b/c yesterday there was a sleep spot and today it is covered with fabric, sewing machine, a quilt or something that wasn't there yesterday. I am lucky that I have two rooms so my painting. sewing and computer studio is all in one room. The three season sun room is where my fabric stash is, the cutting table, the large tables for sandwiching and storage shelves. It would make a wonderful sewing room but I can't use it in the winter...just to run out quick to get what I need. The summer gets so hot that the a/c doesn't even help some days. But it's ncie for the overflow. I tend to creep out in the kitchen but I try to stay on this side of the threshold. I try not be in every room!

Diane, my cutting is now done on the sewing table DH made for me unless it is something really large and for that I use the dining room table.  For sandwiching I use the living room if it is small or my library office if it is large.  Only problem is my library is in a school that is closed during the summer.  Big stuff has to wait for the school year.  Guess that makes it a 3 season room too LOL

this is the first time I've seen this discussion,I am so jealous of all of you who have such nice spaces and storage. The house I live in is very old and has 2 very small closets and that is the extent of our storage. So we have a room downstairs that we call "THE WRECK ROOM" and i have one little corner for my sewing stuff. I have gotten some good idea on here and when I get back from vacation gonna try some of them..Never fear my little corner is just as disorganized as most of us our.....Barbara
