My name is Jeanne. I used to quilt because I was shamed into it. Both of my sisters are accomplished seamstress's and quilters. 3 years ago I could barely sew on a button much less use a sewing machine and OMG quilt, I don't think so. Now I have no fear of needles, scissors, sewing machines, etc. I can even figure out patterns and if I do make a mistake, it is then my version of the pattern, not a "mistake" I am so in awe of Barn Blocks and can't believe I have spotted 3 in the last month. Below is one at Stover, Missouri near my home town in Missouri. I am here to learn more and more about quilting, friendship, advice, and maybe a mood boost once in a while. Anxious to get to know ya'll.

Welcome, Jeanne. I am from the Kansas City area. However, I have gone to the "dark side" of Iowa about 5 years ago.
Welcome Jeanne. Aren't you glad that your sisters turned you into a quilter? Love the barn block. I think there is a website that tells yhou where a lot of barn blocks are located. They are almost as neat as spotting a covered bridge.

Welcome Jeanne,
Welcome to the "club". So happy to hear your sisters have converted you to quilting. Wish I could do the same with mine, although she's a huge fan. Love the barn and the block. If I'm not mistaken, I think Eleanor Burns has a collection of Barn Blocks. Hope you enjoy the website. There are a lot of wonderful people here.....
Welcome Jeanne...hey that's my sister's name. Join in the fun. Love the barn quilt. We have tons of them here in Tennessee. Hubby even made me a house quilt with a 2' x 2' square of outdoor plywood and a great star pattern and it's attached to the house. Love it myself. He made it just for me. Have fun and enjoy.

Welcome to the club Jeanne. My grandmother had always wanted her children and grandchildren to quilt but it has only been in the last 15 years that most of us gave in and started quilting.
