I just picked up a batting order from my APQS dealer. She stocks Legacy batting by Pellon and I love it. I used to use Quilter's Dream and I do love that, too. I like to use an 80/20 blend for most things. I also picked up three new pantos for my panto library. Now I just need to get to work.
I made an SBS block (at work) and prepared some appliqué pieces to take with me this weekend.

Beth that is a beatiful quilt.
I have not worked on a quilt for awhile, but while in Montana, I spent $200.00 on fabric in my favorite quilt store in Billings, Backdoor Quilt Shoppe. I now need to start working on the quilt for DH"s sister as that is a Christmas gift. I also bought some Christmas favric and a Tinkerbell/Peter Pan kit along with other fabric.

Very nice quilt, Beth! Great job on the quilting and I love the beads in the center.
I love your Red Hatters quilt, Beth! Did you design it yourself? Very pretty!

My best friend and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniv. this month and I am making a rag quilt with hopefully crazy quilt borders. I have changed my mind so many times as to what I am doing they will be lucky to have it by Thanksgiving. It finally cooled off a little here in Michigan so I got some squares done on it today. I am doing The Block Party pattern for the squares and doing decorative stitching at the seams. I have nine blocks sewn together and did five blocks decorative stitched to add to the nine previously put together.

Today I need to get started on some quilt tops. I need some things to practice on so will probably do some tablerunners and bedrunners to use up some scraps. They are piled up again. Everyone have a great quilty day today
Sounds like a fun quilt, Judy. They will love it I'm sure.
I need some design help or ideas.
My best friend has a step daughter that she poured a lot of time into when she was in high school a few years ago. She had worked with her on coming up with a list of encouraging words and then they painted her room in purples and blues and painted these words all over the walls. After graduation, she was a little lost for a time...ran off with a loser, got pregnant, learned hard life lessons. But now, she is really trying to turn herself around and my friend wants to encourage her.
So, here's the help I need. She kept all the words and we bought some purple and blue fabrics. She wants me to make a quilt with the words on it. I have had this for over a year and it is just not coming together for me. Does anyone have ideas on patterns that might work? I was planning on printing the words on fabric with my computer. I would really like to get this done for her by Christmas so I need to get started on it.
