The pricing I have been quoting would be for the whole 4 day retreat --- minus shopping at the quilt shops and eating.

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and have been reading your posts about planning a Southeast Quilt Retreat in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. I know you have already made your plans for this trip, but I just wanted to let you all know that my husband and I are opening a quilting lodge in Sevierville. It will be ready for quilters in the early fall of 2011. It is a seven bedroom lodge located in a secluded cove on 9.5 private acres right off Highway 66. We will have a quilting studio with a cutting table that you can also use to sandwich your quilts if desired, comfortable chairs at individual tables, ironing boards, a design wall, and some rulers and supplies.
Our rates are very reasonable and I will cater any or all meals if desired. I have spoken with the owner of The Cherry Pit and she has offered to teach a short seminar to visiting quilters. I'm not trying to horn in on plans already made, but just wanted to let you know there will soon be another option to consider for future trips. Our website will be up soon, but if anyone is interested, I can post pictures. I hope you have a great time at your retreat.

Marge (AKA Dimples): yippee!! I am so glad that you are thinking about joining us. No Ms Cricket --- you can't come. Sorry. You will have to stay home and take care of your Dad. And that Marie and Kris are seriously thinking about it too!!! And Darlene all the way from Canada! Sept isn't any cheaper that Oct. Gals. June through October are high season. So do you still want to look at late Sept or stick with say the first or second week of Oct.? I also see on the price sheet that Ruth gave me that there is a 9.25% state sales tax and a 5% m

Has anyone done one of Eleanor Burns's retreats where you can rent machines? http://www.quiltinaday.com/eleanorandcompany/events/
Hello to all,
Been reviewing the thread and as a newbie quilter if there is space, I would be interested in this retreat, pending final dates. I am hoping to learn from some very experienced friends! October if still in the works is great. Will keep an eye out on this! Thank you to the expert coordinators making this possible!! :)
Wendy
We definitely hope you make it.
With Tuckaleechee as a possible venue, I am still keeping options open for Holloways in Cosby and the one that Sara and hubby are opening in the Sevierville area. I would like to see how the renovations at Holloways upgrade their retreat center and also see what Sara will have to offer. They may end up being lower cost options to what we have already discussed. Since we still have time to throw around our options here, I would like to keep our minds open. So far, I have "dug" out 20 possibles from this thread. Since we are so far out, that could change quite a bit depending on what happens in people's lives. That is another reason I would like to keep our options on the table since Tuckaleechee has to be paid for before we go - half when we place a firm reservation.
Marge , sounds good just keep us posted .Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
This sounds great and I am interested.

I would really be interested in the 2012 retreat. Have you decided on a place yet? How do people pack their machines and all the stuff for quilting if they are flyiing? I may actually be able to find a timeshare in that area if you guys are booked up. Let me know. No-- I won't bring all my cats !
