Hi, I'm new to the site and relatively new to the craft of quilting.  I have only made 4 and am working on 5 and 6 simultaneously.   Since I don't have a whole lot of time to quilt, the jumbo Double Wedding Ring Quilt and the Hawaiian applique quilt are going to take me forever (aside from the fact that I'm not very good at this yet).

I don't know any other quilters to talk to so if anyone has any suggestions for my quilts or anything else I would love to hear from you.  I will post pictures of my current projects soon.

I look forward to meeting all of you!

Welcome Nancy.  You have come to the right place if you are looking for someone to talk to and bounce ideas off of.  We are a very chatty bunch.

I got her DVD to do it.  I'm going to make a bunch of the practice ones and stick them together before I attempt a big one!  I will be crying to you all if I need help, Thanks.

I tried a double wedding ring once.  Made about 5 blocks and decided that I wasn't having any fun and would make something else instead....LOL>

I have made about 60 of the 96 half moons that I need and I had to walk away for a while, hence  the Hawaiian practice one.  But my mother had always wanted a double wedding ring, so I have to finish it sometime soon!

Nancy P-You're new to quilting and you decided to tackle a double wedding ring and Hawaiian applique--that's brave! I have been quilting for almost 20 years and still haven't tried a double wedding ring. Good for you!
