I just got the call, my new great-granddaughter is on her way. Mom is in labor, at the hospital and so far doing good. Whoopee, even though this is my 8th great grandchild, I never get use to it and it is always exciting for me. A new baby, new hope and promise. A girl to pass quilting skills on to.
You all think 6 months is to early to get her started, Just kidding of course. Baby's name is Cassandra Marie Erwin, more details when she gets here.

My girlfriend and her husband were over for dinner last night and we had to raise a toast to her son and DIL who were just newly expecting. Gramma just glowed, she kept talking of all the projects that had to be gotten out of the way because nothing was going to happen once that baby got here!! Having three grandchildren, I completly understand.

I don't know what it is going to be. My daughter dosen't want to know. That's hard for me . I want to make a quilt but not sure on colors. She is going to paint the room Beige and chocolate. She doesn't want green. Do you have any suggestions? Not even sure about a patteren.
Wow, the quilt I made for a friend to give to her son and DIL was a cream and chocolate quilt by the mothers preferance and wasn't my favorite. I guess I am dated liking primaries for baby quilts.

Everone, thank you for the best wishes. After all the excitment, and she was dilated 2, the labor stopped and would not start back up. They sent her home!!!! Lord what a day, my grandson got mad because they told them to go home until it started again. He seemed to think they should just take the baby. Had to explain to him how babies come when they are ready, not just because we are ready. So it will probably be at least another 24 hours or so. Torie is misable and was feeling that she did something that stopped the labor. Lord was I every that young. Everyone is calmed down now and my phone ringer is on high.
