Love the quilt. Do you mind me asking what or where can I purchase the pattern.

Love the colors.

You must be so pleased.

Good job and thanks for sharing . I just love to see new pictures of quilts someone has completed.

Great way to share.

Only thing is I want to make them all. I shall never live long enough.

I went online looking for "string quilts" found an awful lot.  I took ideas from several of them.  Basically it's a 6 1/2" square.  I used that size because I have a square ruler that size.  I just sewed the strips together using the light pink in the center of each block (that makes the square within the square).  I did not use a foundation to make these, just sewed different fabrics to the pink and cut out each separately.  None of these squares are the same, except  for the pink strips.  Depleted my supply of pink scraps and fabrics.  I sewed 4 of the 6 1/2" squares together then used the stripping in between.  I call this one "Katie's girl" (she didn't know what the name would be yet).

I hope you try it,  it was fun to make, but if I do it again, won't make it so big.  Took couple of weeks to get it all done.

really didn't mean to, but when in profile, I thought I'd put my name, I guess it cancelled out the other.

How do I go about getting a fancy signature like yours or similar?

Lyn:

How do I go about getting a fancy signature like yours or similar?

I made mine in paint shop but there was a thread that covered this and you can do one with the following instructions:

Go to this link:
My Live Link    and follow the signature wizard instructions.

Once you get what you want, then choose 'want to use this signature'
then choose the 'generate BB code', then 'generate code for my hand written signature'.

When the code is created, highlight it and copy it to the signature spot in your profile.

When you get to the page where it ask if you want HTML or BB code select BB code
Next page - click on Generate a code for my handwritten signature..
Scroll down to generated BB code and copy the code..

Then:
Click on My Profile
Click on the Site Options tab

Scroll down to the signature box

Paste the code in the signature box
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and save and hopefully you will have a fancy new signature.

Thread Link: Fancy Signatue

Link to My Live Signatue

Be sure to save it when you add it to your profile.

BTW, these directions have evolved they are a combination of mine and  Kathy's from the original post

Lyn, Very nice use of your pink scraps.  I like it and applaud you!  Thank you for sharing!  Very nice pattern.  I like how they are all different.  Your eye just flows around the quilt.  Very nice.
