Hey to all! I'm new to this fabulous website and would love to hear from any and all of you. I've put some of my quilts in the Show & Tell Gallery and have linked my blog to this site. I'm very excited to explore all aspects of this website and would appreciate your pointers. I live in Calgary, Canada and am a quilt designer and run my own website - www.kimhansonquilts.com. Oh my goodness! Of course you have a lot of Canadian neighbours for sure - at least in the summer. I love Sandpoint but haven't been there in quite awhile. A friend of ours just bought a boat that is moored down there. So very nice to hear from you.
Welcome Kim. I am in Kentucky, down the road a piece from you. I also like to design quilts, but have not been quilting very long. Hope you will jump right in with us and let us benefit from your knowledge.

Hi, Kim! You're new, me, too! And I LOVE Calgary! I pretty much love all of BC and Alberta! I have a ton of cousins in BC, and when we went to visit a couple of years ago, I thought to myself "Maybe I should get some picture calendars of our Rocky Mountains so they can see what is 14,000 feet high!" - but right before my hand reached out to the calendar, I had a sudden thought "Wait a minute - the Rockies extend INTO Canada.... hmmmm..." so I went home and looked at the elevation of the Canadian Rockies . Well, HERE, if you climb the highest peaks (and I have done a couple) they call you a "Fourteener" (because they are 14000 feet high, duh...) but when I realized the peaks in Canada are - 24,000 FEET HIGH I felt truly humble! :O I wonder, what do they call you if you climb the 24,000 footers, eh? (Super girl? Breathless?) Anyway, WELCOME! and what type of quilts do you fancy? :D
