Marge, I will be praying for Todd and his family, and you.  I have heard that kidney cancer is one of the better cancers to have, with higher cure rates, and less down time generally, may this be so in his case.  Many hospitals also have 'charity care' where he can ask to apply to have part of his debt canceled later.  He should not use a credit card to pay for medical if he can avoid it.  That makes it impossible to reduce the bill by other means or to make a reasonable payment plan with the hospital.  And hospitals are more reasonable than credit card companies, with much lower interest.

I would like to ask for some prayers for my son...Chris.  He is finally leaving his wife who has verbally and emotionally abused him for 12 yrs.  I can't remember the last time I saw him this happy.  In the past he looked like a beaten dog.  Now he needs to get thru the next few months and I just have a terrible fear that she is going to try to make this as difficult as possible.   I just pray that we all get thru the divorce process as easily as possible and then he can move on with his life and hopefully finally be happy and healthy.

I realize this isn't life or death but it has been a really long living hell for all of us.  I just pray that it really is over.

Gini

We do have a very supportive family and it does help.  But you just can't understand the extremes this woman will go to to get what she wants.....or even to keep someone else from getting what they want.  She is manipulative and destructive.  Sometimes it is scary the things she trys.

Nana, I am praying for your son, and for a calm head and a peaceful heart in dealing with this.  May he understand any misbehavior or manipulations on her part as confirmation that he has made the right decision.

Nana - Your son cchris is on my list for prayer and guidance as he works his way through this.  having lived through a similar situation, I can empathize with him.  May he find the needed inner strength and have peace in this situation.

So sorry to hear what u r going thro.  We had a similar situation  (many years ago now) - it takes a great deal of courage and recognition of self worth.  In a way, this is a life/or death situation.  My prayers are with entire family.

Thanks you to all who have said they will pray for my son and his family.  Having gone through a lenghty illness with DH in 2008/ 09, I know first hand the POWER OF PRAYER.

Thanks everyone for their prayers.  It is so hard watching one of your children go through something like this but it was a lot harder watching him go through life in a destructive marriage.  I finally get to see smiles on his face for the first time in years.

Nana - I hope your son stays strong.  My own son is in one of these relationships and it hurts so much to hear the sadness in his voice.  We can only hope he makes it through and that maybe she will change - she can make him so happy when she wants to... she is very very manipulative though.  When they lived here she tried to manipulate my DH and he basically told her right where to go - she was upset and took it out on my son... so now we try to just stay away - we are here for him when he calls but other then that we try not to upset the apple cart.

I am happy and praying that your son is away from her and healing each and every day!
