I am sure you all have many different preferences for batting but there is so much out there I am a little confused about what is best and what is not good. What is your favorite batting? I think I want to go with one of the natural battings for the quilt I am working on but I want something on the heavy side. Does anyone have a recommendation?
that soy stuff i got is softer than quilters dream. i forgot to look for it today

I usually use Warm & Natural 100% cotton batting as well. I think it's the best on the market for the money. But last weekend JoAnn's had queen size packaged batting (cotton) on sale for $14.99. I think it was Pollen brand but I'm not sure. I wish I didn't throw out the package. I was surprised at how well it draped and how soft it was.

Joanne's carries a batting called cotton rose or quilting rose or something with rose in the name. I have used it and it is a pretty decent batting and is less expensive then some of the others.

I also use the warm and natural batting.
Nana I also bought the queen size batting of warm and natural for $14.99 a package from Joannes.. I bought a few packages. I don't see anything that has Pollen brand on mine. It has The Warm and Natural Company from Washington State. I really like it.
I have wondered about that kind of batting. I am glad to hear it works well. I will try that kind with my next quilt.
warm and natural is what I prefer. I have used mountain mist before though, it is not as nice as warm and natural for quilting and definitely not as nice when you are basting and or putting your layers together.
Joy, was that Pellon? The interfacing company has moved into batting and I think Joann's carries it. Gini, Pellon makes a soy based batting. I haven't tried any of these products yet.
