You know Patti, as crazy as this might sound, sometimes I enjoy the power going out, the silence is wonderful. But I can only like it for so long then I start going nuts lol.
Here's one we all should enjoy!! http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=hN8CKwdosjE
Nice haul Leslie.
Today it was 68 degrees and sunny. I spent the day packing the car for my retreat this weekend, and working in the yard. I decided I needed to lay some rocks for a walk out by my garage leading to the stairs to the upper level. Just what I should be doing with a bum shoulder and just recovering from wrist surgery. But you know us independent women, when we get an idea we have to start on it. I don't think I did myself much damage. We'll see tomorrow. It will probably be my back that suffers the most.
I'm praying for your mom, Grammy, and for you, Kris, that you feel better soon. And for Marge's church family that suffered such a tragic loss. And for Spud. Love you all. If I left anyone out it is due to my short term memory loss!!
WOW. That is some haul for one day. You go girl.
Kris:I went to my second doctors appointment in as many days and he said, "Boy you're really messed up
Gee Kris and you had to pay big bucks for that great diagnosis. I could have done that for you and not have charged you anything....LOL>
LOL. I really like him. He's very straight forward and doesn't mince words.
He did a great job trying to straighten me out and he encouraged me to call him sooner if I don't start to feel better before my next appointment. He worked with me for 45 minutes.
He really does take good care of me. I just wish he were my primary care physician.
I'm in the midst of a fibro flare plus I have influenza. I could bare walk over the weekend until about Wednesday.
You definitely don't do things half measure. Sorry about the flu....nasty stuff. I took the flu shot this year and knock on wood have managed to miss the ole bug. It definitely isn't fun when you also have fibro. They play off of each other so nicely.....NOT>
apparently I was twice exposed to a patient who had the flu last month. She came to the ED both times and I did different scans on her. They checked her for the flu the second time and she came up positive.
Nice of them to not tell me anything. They put up precaution signs after I'd already seen her so I asked and that's how I found it. She has a different strain of the flu than the flu shot I got. Lucky me right?
One of my co-worker told me I should get free time off since I got the flu after getting a flu shot.
My poor DH has no clue what to do to help me. My pain meds aren't working and I just toss and turn trying to get comfortable. We've tried hot pads, ice packs, tea, hot baths, showers, massage. No good. The pain even seems to override my sleep medication.
I'm on Tamiflu and prednisone right now so I hope that helps.
Thanks Nana, I am going back for more today lol.
Kris you are in my prayers. No one should have this many problems!
Dear Kris: I don't write much around here, but I do keep up with reading all the posts. I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. It sounds like you are really in a bad way. I hope you feel better, and I'll send "get well wishes" along your way. Take care of yourself.
I feel so bad for you. I'd like to give you a hug but it would be more pain for you. Please take care.
