marge, you were a busy girl today.     when we got out first condo, i had read about the new tvs that you could hang on a wall.   so we went to the fancy electonic store in seattle and i told the guy what i wanted,  he laughed and said, "if we can get them , they are over $40,000,  yikes!!!.  i told him i need to think that one over.    15 + years later, i still don't have my tv that hangs on the wall.   i have this huge behemoth that took four men to lift into it's hole.   i'm pretty sure we aren't gettting a new one until this one dies.    i thought a couple of years ago we were going to get lucky, cause the picture was weird.   sam found a man who came over with this funky looking "wand".   he waved it over the screen a couple of times and, presto, the tv worked again.     gini

Thanks! The stems are also silk dupioni and they were cut out, fused down and then quilted on.

Thanks for the welcome, and no, probably not, I haven't been active on the discussion boards. I recently had a job change that has given me a lot more time to enjoy quilting :)

Send 'em over

Uh Kris --- are you sure about this.  She did admit that she burnt them.  I'm not into crispy critters.

Welcome Steff.  I like the wall hanging.  The background is black?  It looks dark blue on my screen -- but that is still beautiful.

Your MQ 3 is beautiful! Love the borders - they turned out really nice-- I like the contrast between the colors and I love how you used "just a touch" of your sashing fabric to make your border pop. It really looks great.

With all the snow you're getting- what a perfect quilt to snuggle under.

Loved your snow pics and the red robin? was great. I felt sorry for the poor thing though. It's so cold there but so beautiful.

I got to go to your blog- Love your Leaves wall hanging of silk dupioni.  It is gorgeous.  I would have loved to seen your Three Roses one- Do you have any pics of it?. It sounds really pretty also- as does the Owl(s) one.  I really enjoyed getting to see your leaves wall hanging -so of course I want to see more! I am a little greedy thing aren't I?

Welcome also! Do you just work in silk only or other fabrics also?

Thank you for sharing with us your work.  It like going to a quilt show for me because everyone on here makes such beautiful things and  I get to look at it for pennies a day.!!!
