Everywhere I have checked has told me that the Quilt Cut does not go on sale.  I really like it better than the Accucut with the templates.   You do not have to have any dies of any kind with the QuiltCut but it does show you how you can use it to cut with templates for the unusual shapes.   I think in the long run it is much more cost effective.  The store where I got mine said that the parts...except the cutting mat....have a great guarantee and if something happens to it they will replace the piece.  Haven't had a chance to play with mine yet but it has found a home after I cleaned my sewing space.

Kelley,

Nice quilts!  What is the manufacturer and pattern name for the cute kitty fabric?  After I finish my dog Calley's quilt, I need to make one for Pickles the cat.

Congrats on the QuiltCut 2. I didn't know it was new for you when I saw your studio. You'll love it. I'm still bonding with mine but getting more and more comfortable with it. Did you buy the tips DVD, too? It's definitely worth it.

This morning, all I had left to do on the RRCB was the basting around the whole edge of the quilt >>>then ready to take photos >>>boy! the things I go thru to get these photos just so you all can see the quilt top I finished!!  I took it out to the Annex (next to our guest house, where I exercise) and attempted to attach it to a quilt that was hanging on the wall with a rod and sleeve.  I used big clothespins, but couldn't reach it well enough, so dragged the whole thing off the wall, attached the top to the quilt, then tried to hang it back on it's little hooks way up there near the ceiling.  Need a taller ladder - walk back to the shop where DH is working, he let me have his tall ladder after he tore down his scaffolding to get it - carry ladder out to the annex, now I got the top attached securely to the other quilt, and hung it up on the rods.  Finally got to take the pictures!  Then carry the ladder back to the shop so he can setup his scaffold again.  By this time, I was sure I had enough exercise, but I went ahead and took the pictures, then rode my stationary bike, just shorter time than usual!!  Decided my next project was to work on the bindings on the quilts I got back from the LAQ and have been ignoring them.  I don't see finished quilt tops as UFO's, but once they are quilted, I feel like they should get their bindings on soon as I can, or they are UFO's!  Anyway, with the trusty help of Sassy, I feel like I have gotten a bit more done - have bindings on two quilts, and ready to sew on three more.  The hand stitching part is fun and easy once I get this. The border is great, don't you think?

They didn't have the tips DVD in the quilt shop but I plan on ordering one at a later date.  Right now I am using it to cut fabric for curtains for the GD's bedroom.  I really like it so far and think I will like it even more when I have a chance to work with it more.
