I have what might possibly be a dumb question, but I just read The Quilters Holiday by Jennifer Chiaverinni, and inside the cover was a picture of a quilt block that I fell in love with. It was titled Star of the Magi. Has anyone ever heard of this pattern, or know where I could find the pattern???
The Star of the Magi is also known as the Star of Bethlehem and Star of Jerusalem. You can find alot of the block patterns in Biblical quilt blocks by Makham .

Nana... I've looked at the Star of Bethlehem pattern, and it doesn't look the same. Do you think you could identify the pattern if I posted a picture of it? Maybe the author has it titled incorrectly...
Jess
I don't know but I sure would give it a try. Unfortunately so many quilt blocks have had minor changes over the years and often are called by numerous names depending on where you are from. If you post a pic maybe between us someone will be able to help.
Sounds like a plan!!! I will post a picture of it tomorrow, as it just started pouring down rain here and the book is in my truck. Hopefully someone will be able to help!!!
Check this site and look for the Star O'er Bethlehem. See if that is close to what you are looking for. This site has tons of free block patterns.
