Thank you, Marge. I use to live in Hong Kong and bought these in the market made with  brocade silk. I have never thought of making them myself.

I make these for wedding showers for the women in the family of the bride. I have monogrammed on one

flap "Tears of Joy" and on the other flap I monogram the bride and grooms names and their wedding

date. Makes a great remembrance of the wedding and also gives kleenex for those tears of joy.

Oh and I use the colors of the wedding party to make my tissue covers.

I've made a ton of these tissue holders using my embroidery machine...they are all made in the hoop, and make great gifts for kids and adults alike.  One has a pocket to hold hand sanitizer on one side and tissues on the other.

I too want to thank you.   My mother had received one of the tissue holders.  She passed away in April of last year and while clearing out her treasures my sisters and I were trying to figure out how to make one without taking our mother's apart.  Now we can.

Hey Laura jean.  What a nice little rememberance.   Great idea.  I made close to 200 of these for the ladies Christmas tea at church and so far over another 100 for the annual fund raiser that my LQS has for the Humane Society (Hence all the dog & cat prints in my photo).
