Good Morning All,
Did anyone watch the first episode of quilt out loud? I thought it was great. This is something I will watch regularly.
The garden section was cute. Good program.
Yes I watched the show and also thought the faery garden was a very cute idea...going to look for a little house and start right away

All the great reviews on the show and I have not had a chance to watch it yet.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy -and- sorrow, stitched with love
The fairy garden segment has been so popular. Proves our premise that quilters love to do other things besides quilt and are interested in seeing them on the show. Those little houses are too cute!
Which reminds me: I made an Irish Cottage quilt that looks just like the fairy cottage.

I need to find a fairy figurine for mine...
I just watched Quilt out loud and loved it. I love to garden during the summer and I'm going to try to make my own fairy garden. I was wondering if Mark covers these fairy gardens up with something before winter kicks in. I'd hate to see all that nice work get ruined. We have some hard winters here in Western New York sometimes, and if I was to make one I'd find a way to keep it protected through the winter.
Diane,
I wonder if you could just put a box or something over it to protect it from the snow and ice? You may have another project, a cover for your fairy garden.
I just watched the rest of the show this afternoon and I really enjoyed it, I learned alot also. I think they have a winner of a show.
I don't think Mark was concerned about the winter affecting it - he did say something about it during the making of the garden - I can't remember what it was - I'll have to watch the show again - lol - twist my arm - ... I think mine will just get covered by leaves as my bulbs do in the fall - I rake the yard and put them on the garden to keep the garden warm... works pretty good - i have had pansys sometimes in the middle of winter peak out from under the leaves...
I loved the fairy garden. Would love it if Mark talked about where he found the little house and fairy. A great project for grandpeople, I showed the clip to my granddaughter and we are planning to set up some fairy gardens in my backyard.

I watched it and loved it. It is funny and fun to watch. The fairy garden was cute but I just can't see myself doing that. Maybe when I was younger. I used to build dollhouses and furniture. Not so much anymore.
I was just reading a blog from Mark and he is no longer with quilt out loud or with QNN TV this web site and the home quilter maganizine any more

What?!!! Where did you read this? I mean, what is the actual URL/address? I just bought a subscription to Quilter's Home because of him!

I hope this is just a misunderstanding.
I joined his yahoo group at Pickle Road and saw his announcement there. It says pretty much the same thing as his blog. The magazine cover is gone from the main page.
