Sew Many Projects, So Little Time

This is showcase of my projects in various stages.

Baby Jane Update

I have now completed rows A through F of my "Baby Jane" quilt top. I also have the top row of triangles done. With each added block I'm more excited by this project and anxious to get it done. The triangles are my favourite to work on. They are all hand pieced on this iteration (I have three started). I mostly hand piece but a few of the easier blocks were done by machine to save time.

If you're interested in seeing the blocks up close and those not pictured here you can visit my "Dear Jane" folder to see them.

This second photo includes the triangles I've completed:

Thanks for reading.

OMG this is stunning! How long have you been working on this?  It is definitively a labor of love!  I don't think I would have the determination  to do something as elaborate as this.  It is a work of art.

Thanks Everyone for the kind comments. I'm really having fun with this one.

Angele, I started working on this with the DJ group in January of 2010. I left it for quite some time but got back into it, consistently, this year. I take my pieces to work and sew during down time.

Robin, I'm enjoying the journey. It makes me think of how Jane Stickle made this quilt without all the tools we have today.

Your hand piecing is absolute perfection. You are so talented. Have you given any thought to entering this in a show when you finish?

Thanks Stephanie.

I haven't thought of entering it in a juried show but our LQS has an annual show just for fun. I might enter that one.
