Spudgrandma's Thoughts on Quilting & Life!

Noah's Ark Quilt

I made crib quilts for all of my grandchildren. They were all variations of the same quilt.  The appliques were cut from scraps of fabric left over from clothing I made for their parents when they were little.

What a neat idea to do the appliques from their parents clothes you made! Now this becomes an Heirloom treasure. Love the color combinations and all those little squares. Beautiful.

Thanks Stephanie, it is fun to watch my kids sit around and discuss their memories of the clothing in the quilts.  It was the only option I had as I did not have enough fabric scraps to do it any other way and I actually like it this way because they are the focal point of each quilt.
