Spotlight on Hoffman Fabrics 2014: Winners Announced

About Hoffman California Fabrics

Today, three generations of Hoffmans are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, which has its headquarters in Mission Viejo. More than 50 employees are involved with filling orders and shipping fabric to retail fabric stores, craft shops, quilt stores, apparel makers, wholesale distributors, and manufacturers throughout the world. Our team of professional artists in the Design Department creates nearly 800 designs of colorful screenprints and luscious Bali batiks each year. The fabrics are sold by independent sales reps that call on customers throughout the U.S.

Hoffman Fabrics Patterns for Pre-Cuts

Winners will receive a Hoffman Bali Tiles trio in the three available colorways of Seaholly (purples/greens), Volcano (rusts/greens) and Splash (brights).

A pack of Hoffman Bali Tiles gives you 10 batik strips measuring 12½” inches by the width of the fabric. Each strip is a different color and has four different designs. The quilter creates a project by fussy-cutting each batik design to make a fabric block. The quilter may arrange the blocks in any arrangement of her choice. Add sashing and/or border fabric and piece your quilt top as you’d like. Finish your quilt with batting, backing and binding. There you have it, a completely unique quilt of your own design.

Why is this contest open only to U.S. residents?
We value all of our members, whether in or outside of the U.S. While we wish that it was possible to include everyone in our contests, it isn't. Holding contests has complex legal implications and you will find that many contests are only valid in the country where they originate. I love the colors. And since I'm always making quilts for other people, this would be a beautiful quilt I could make for myself.

Color makes all the difference. Take a pattern for a former block & go for it with bold colors!

This seems like a new concept, esp in batiks.  These would be very cool to work with.

I love batiks, they make a quilt or project even more special.

I love the Hoffman Batiks.  I love to use them in my quilts &  they are also great for appliqué because they are so easy to sew with.   Would love to win the contest so I can have MORE Hoffman batiks!
