I like package #1 I love quilts  that have an older look to them ,and this reminds me of hanging cloths outside on the clothes line When I was growing up my mother had some of those straw type baskets and these patterns remind me of them. Our clothes aways smell so wonderful after drying outside ,and because of that I do this myself as an adult . Good memories

I'm more inclined to go with the "Diamond Quilts™”, and  "Sweet & Sassy Templates™. I'm a working mom and love to quilt as it gives me a great outlet for stress relief and I can make presents for the family. I just don't have as much time as I would love to spend on the intricate stuff ;-(, these are all great packages, just seems I would find number two more useful. Thanks!

While I do Love Embroidery, especially on a Quilt. I personally Would love to out of the 3 offered to win

Package 2 which features one of your newest authors, PJ Anderson. It includes a copy of her book “Sweet & Sassy Templates™ Diamond Quilts”, one set of the  Sweet & Sassy Templates™ acrylic rhombus templates (paper templates come with the book, but the rulers are pretty handy to have!) and a fat quarter bundle of PJ’s “Giselle” fabric line. I especially like this because I love the Completness of it. I feel like I can start and finish a complete Quilt top with this Kit. I love Diamonds and having the Book as well as the Acrylic Templates would be very helpful. I am Currently teaching and learning to Quilt with My 2 *** Boys. I think the Color choice in this set of Fat Quarters is one that is very versatile and is something that would apeal to them as well. When asked if this Kit was something they might like the response was positive and excited over the Possability.

Thanks for the great contest! Package 2 fits me best, I'm a beginner quilter and although the books in group 1 look fantastic, I think they're way out of my league, I could donate them the guild I just joined for attendance prizes I guess. When I was younger, 8-25, I used to do a lot of embroidery; However, after cancer surgery, my right hand is paralyzed in a fist, making hand stitching extremely difficult. Thanks again for the opportunity to win fabulous prize.

I love kit number 2.  I look for something I have not done before so that I would learn a new technique or Idea.  Currently I am working on a quilt that requires me to "adjust" the block sizes so it will fit with a preprinted center block-----.

i am not one for math and fractions but It seems to be working.  Like the old saying: "What you learn in kindergarten is what you  know for life".

I really like the first 2 sets, but my favorite is #2. I like to work with less complicated pieces that go together fast.I have a lot of hand problems but these still allow me to do quilting. Embroidery doesn't work well unless it's by machine so #3 isn't very appealing.

I love your Diamond Quilt and the fabrics you have selected. I love to quilt because I adore flowers and making pretty things. The fabrics you have selected are beautiful & I think would be exquisite together. I made a diamond quilt for my sister before she passed away and she just loved it. The diamonds were various florals with solid diamonds in between. On those, I appliqued some "Sister Sayings" to make it more personal. I like to add something extra to make a quilt a little more special for the person I'm doing it for.

I love making all kinds of quilts, but appliqué is my absolute favorite.  I often work on it in front of tv, and it is often perfect to do while waiting for my husband to have his chemo.  Hie treatments are sometimes as long as 5-6 hours, and I need small projects take with me--it's crowded in the chemo room.  This packet just might take me to a higher level, and that would be terrific!  A super challenge!

Hmmm....  which one fits me best?...  Well, it's hard to choose, because I LOVE applique.  It seems that almost every project I plan usually ends up with some applique and embroidery incorporated.  AND I am always looking at the newest techniques and tools-- anxious to give them a try.. AND the reason that I first  became interested in quilting was because my aunt invited myself, my sister, my mom, and several other friends and family members to get together once a week at her house to "sit and sew".  That was several years ago, and we still enjoy out weekly gatherings!  Some days we talk and laugh more than we actually sew.. ;-)

So the Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket quilts book would be a delight to own.  Plus the Friendship Strips and scraps and Friendship Triangles. I also enjoy making scrap quilts. I also like package 2 all the fabrics are great and the template would be fun. Happy quilting

The Edyta package represents me as a quilter in so many themes: the homes, the spools--emblems of the things that matter most to me and the reason I quilt, for family friends, loved ones, and to carry on the traditions of my mother, grandmother, great-aunts.

Wow what a choice. I have loved hand embroidery ever since my Grandma shared some of her work with me. I won't say how long ago that was but suffice it to say I am now a Grandma. I would love package three. Perhaps sharing it with my Granddaughter will in-still a love of handwork into the next generation.

Tanks for the chance to win.

I would love to win package number 1. I really enjoy making scrappy quilts, trying to make something beautiful out of little tidbits that someone else might throw away. I have a friend who sends me all her scraps. She doesn't enjoy making scrappy quilts but used to feel guilty just throwing the scraps out. Now she has a place to send them and I have the chance to try my hand at making something new each time.

Package 1 is the “Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts” book package, featuring her latest book “Scrappy Firework Quilts”, her new daily Journal for 2013, the 2013 Laundry Basket Quilts Calendar, and one copy each of “Friendship Strips & Scraps” and “Friendship Triangles”.

Package 1 has caught my eye and brings into my mind

A box beneath my sewing desk with cloth of every kind

A rainbow made of strips and squares and scraps galore abound

They call my name and plead with me and I cannot quiet the sound

So let me have this prize I pray so I can put to rest

These energetic scraps and strips and make them take the test

Of teaming up together to make quilts by Edyta Sitar

And when they are done I'll mark the date and notice how much prettier

Those restless scraps look now they,ve found a calmer way to twitter.

Hi,

I would love to have all of them obviously because I am a quilter and we LOVE STUFF....but if I HAD to pick (lol)

it would be:

Package 2 features one of our newest authors, PJ Anderson.

I just had PJ come in as a speaker for my local quilt guild in Newark, De and I didn't by her book or ruler. I kick myself for not getting it because our guild members have been making projects from the book and they are down right stunning. So now I really really want to use the book and template and of course, I have neither :(

Thanks for the chance to win!

I quilt because its peaceful for me. After my mom passed last year, I was completely inconsolable. I was basically crying in bed for months. Thankfully one day the pain eased up enough that I wasn't crying constantly and I finished a skirt I had started before we found out about her sudden illness. I went back to the store to buy more material when I realized I wanted to try my hand at making quilts. Designing, sewing, piecing, and quilting has given me so much peace I don't even know how to thank the fates that drew me to it. Her passing still hurts, but now I can tolerate it enough that I have most of my life back.

PACKAGE NUMBER THREE for me!!!!  I started quilting three years ago, but did embroidery for years.  I am learning applique and would love this package that has applique AND embroidery.    Quilting is a wonderful way I relax, there is a calming feeling to be in my sewing room surrounded by fabric, patterns, books and embellishments.   Package Number 3 for me.

Can't make up my mind between Package 2 and 3!!! I have never been very lucky at winning things, but I sure am lucky in love! And any one of my family or friends would love a quilt/throw/wall hanging or just about anything I would make for them. I can't describe the joy I get from quilting. I spend many hours in my little room planning, cutting, stitching, and organizing. Thanks so much!

Cheri Williams wrote re: Spotlight on Laundauer 2012

Thinking about which package would be best for me brings reasons for all of them.  Lots of scraps yell for package 1, my lone star quilt and tree skirt shout for #2 and all my applique blocks are saying me, me, me for #3. All would be a great addition to my stash and I would enjoy anyone of them.  The choices is hard for picking one, but my favorite is hand work, so #3 shouted the loudest to me.

Cheri Williams wrote re: Spotlight on Laundauer 2012

My love of handwork yells for #3, the lone star on the wall said it's about 30 years old and needs replaced by something new and another diamond #2 would make it feel better as it retires, however the sewing room is over flowing in scraps and shouts for something to be made from them and wants #1. Any of the package would be a treat, but havingnew patterns to applique would be fantastic.  So #3 is my first choice.  After all I can always use scraps in applique or make more scraps!!!!

Hello!  As long as I can remember, quilts have had special meaning throughout my life.  They are among my most cherished posessions.  I have two from circa 1910 from my grandmothers.  All the women in my family have made quilts, past and present.  I am self-taught and highly inspired by their work.  I am so glad for the interest in quilting today and for the availability of fabrics and patterns.  That's why I like Edyta Sitar's designs, fabrics and philosphy.  I'd love to have more of her patterns.
