Spotlight on Fabri-Quilt 2012: Winners Announced

Fabri-Quilt, Inc. is celebrating its' 50th year as a leader in the ever shrinking United States textile world.  Originally founded in 1962 as a contract quilter for apparel manufacturers, it wasn't until Fabri-Quilt's introduction of the Ozark Calico collections in the late 1970's when its' journey of designing and converting some of the most coveted cotton printed fabrics in the quilting and home sewing industries began.  And in 2004 with the creation of Paintbrush Studio, a division specifically challenged with the task of creating fabrics for independent quilt shops, and collaboration with designers such as Ro Gregg, Sharon Holland and Judy Hansen, Fabri-Quilt continues to provide the quilting world with the highest quality fabrics available.

This would be a Fabulous Achievement Brought Richly Into a Quilt!!!  The pattern would have to be a mix of applique between the two packs.  The fabrics that read solid would be beautiful appliqued in different designs on top of the fabrics that have a print.  The coordination is incredible between the two bundles.  I love the applique blocks from the 1800's and these would definitely put a new twist on the outcome.

Stone 1994, when I saw the Marblehead fat quarter I immediately thought about this pattern, it is perfect in colours in style & the right numbers of fabrics.  The other collection is so versatile, so many patterns can be used.

My step-sister is having her 1st child in June at the age of 46!  Her desire is to make the baby's room into an out of Africa experience.  Your Marblehead collection looks very much like Bali patterns, which would lead to a couple of baby animals picture quilts.  The other collection "Dilly Dally", along with some vibrant cotton solids would make a colorful kitchen apron and some pot holders.  Both fabric lines are beautiful and would look great for any project.

I would create a Fresh, Absolutely Beautiful, Richly Imaginative, Cozy Quilt for my new sister-in-law. I like pairing up bright solids with charming prints to create a unique design using traditional blocks arranged with a modern twist.  I would love, love, love to win these fat quarter sets from Fabri-Quilt!

Oooo!!! These colors and prints are vibrant!  Going through my current fabric stash, it is obvious that my taste has leaned toward itty bitty prints and old-fashioned calicos; I am Grandma Calico Quilter herself to my three growing granddaughters.  They adore bright colors and modern prints, and I am ready to step it up and surprise them with a whimsical, artsy, machine-pieced quilt with a delightfully modern twist.

I would make my first beautiful grand-daughter a colorful, whimsical quilt with my fabric from Fabri-Quilt.Then when she gets older she can pass it on to her daughter or grand-daughter, if she chooses to. She can keep it in the family and  hopefully be passed down through the generations. It will be a family heirloom  long after I am gone, will be her first quilt  made by me , her granny and my first special quilt. This is for Bethany, my heart.
