This lucky winner will piece, patch and quilt all sorts of lovely items with the fabulous Aurifil thread. I am working on a retro hippie era Butterfly Garden applique quilt now. Aurifil will be the best finishing touch.

If I were to win I'd use the Aurifil thread to piece "itty bitty" quilts, my Trip Aound the World quilts with patches smaller than a quarter inch square. A quilt measuring 3 1/8 inches x 2 7/8 inches contains approximatey 150 patches, so a very fine thread is essential. Aurifil is my favorite!

I love applique and using fancy stitching so I would use the  thread for that.

Although I've been quilting for years, I finally saved my money to order the most expensive quilt kit i've ever purchased, so i'd use the Mark Lipinski Basics Collection to complete my first family heirloom. :-)

I would use the thread for all my piecing on all my quilts. If the color matches or is a good contrast for my applicae I would also use it for that.  It also works great for quilting when I want to blend rather than accent the quilt design. I love the aurifil thread because it doesn't leave a bunch of fuzz on my machine.

After watching Mark Lipinski's video, which was very entertaining, I would love to win his basic collection to see how much better my piecing will be. I love the idea of having the thread as much space in the seam so the seam lays better.

I love how little space Aurifil thread takes up.  It helps keep my piecing more accurate.  I would use the basics kit to replenish my dwindling supply of very useful colors that I sew with on a regular basis.  Also, Aurifil doesn't muck up my machine like some other brands of thread.

I love, love, love Aurifil thread.  Whenever I enter a quilt shop, the first thing I look for is their selection of threads.  I would use it on everything.

If I were to win a Mark Lipinski Basics Collection Kit, I would use it to piece and machine quilt a special "Grandma Love's You" quilt for my first grandson, due in May.

Since I think Aurifil is the only really great quilting thread, if I were to win the collection, I would use it for everything I make - quilts, wallhangings, fabric bowls, Christmas stockings, hot pads - just everything.  I don't like to use any thread other than Aurifil for all of my projects.

I love, love, love Aurifil thread! If I had more of it, I'd use it on everything! At the moment, I just use it for piecing. I especially love how "lintless" it is, compared with other threads I've used for piecing. I'd love to have this collection to use it for quilting as well as piecing. Aurifil is AWESOME!

I need thread! Somehow I forget to stock up on thread when I'm buying fabric. I use the neutrals a lot when piecing multiple colors. I have never used Aurifil thread; the local fabric store doesn't carry it. I'd love to try it out -- I am intrigued by the lint-free aspect.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE AURIFIL for piecing - especially the smaller pieces I prefer to work with.  Also is great for paper piecing.  I think it is about time I learn to machine applique - this would be awesome!

Well, I am knew to quilting; in fact at this point I have been piecing with very little quilting.  What I have found is the "tools" sincerely make the finished product. I would perhaps try my hand at quilting and gain the basic skill so that I can grow to the more advanced quilting techniques.

I will use the basics to learn applique; i've been piecing and quilting for years, but "scared" of applique...but starting to eye applique projects.

Love the thread and the fact that it leaves little lint in my wonderful sewing machine - - I was constantly cleaning my bobbin area before.  I would use it to help my three beautiful granddaughters piece their own family heirlooms (all under 13 yrs old).  They love fabric as much as I do and want to decorate their new bedrooms with their fabric art.

If this is the collection to win, I'd use it in my piecing and quilting mostly...those neutral colors are great.  I haven't tried Aurifil threads yet, but would love to.  I hear great things about it.  I'm not wonderful enough at quilting to use contrasting threads so always pick a neutral to minimize those uneven stitches! :P

And also, my machine loves it too. It gets rather fussy as to what thread I use. I have several projects in the works that I could use this on.

Although I've pieced quilts before by machine, I've only machine quilted a crib quilt.  I'm taking an online machine quilting class now, and am eager to finish a top that has been stowed away for years, and quilt it by machine. I want to use the best thread for that undertaking!

Aurifil is wonderful for piecing--it does not add bulk to the seams so the pieces stay accurate to the cut size.  I will use it for piecing.

I love this thread, as others have said it doesn't leave a lot of lint in the bobbin area, another advantage is that you don't have to fill the bobbin as often as the thread is fine and more thread fits on the bobbin.  A big plus for me.  Even tho the thread is fine, it is super strong.  Looks great on all my applique's and when I use it for quilting it helps make me look like I know what I am doing.  My local quilt shop does not carry this thread so I have problems matching colors to my fabric when I do use it for quilting.  The colors in this box are just perfect for the piecing I do.  This thread does not take a lot of room in the seam so it makes it a lot easier to match seams.  Love, love, love this thread.

I have been wanting to try Aurifil thread to make my seams less bulky and this basic collection would be just the ticket.  The fact that it can also be used for applique and quilting is a big plus, no more having different threads for different applications.

I've been cross stitching animals for a quilt.  When I quilt it, I want the best thread possible for quilting, since I'm putting so much time & effort into it.  This collection would be perfect.

I recently started using Aurifil thread and love, love, love it! Our small local quilt store does not carry Aurifil thread so I would love to add this collection to my current 2 spool collection. I have found the thread to do what is advertised- less lint, more thread on the bobbin (thus saving time and bulk) and less bulk on my piecing. I have MANY projects lined up and waiting! Thank you!

As a newly returning sewer I've just learned the best thread to use are the grays/greys and neutrals as

shown in the Aurifil collection.  They look as though they'd be a "dream" to handle and work with.  I have projects to finish in piecing, embroidery, and machine quilting and would be delighted to switch to Aurifil to finish these projects and then create new ones!

I used my first spool of Aurifil this past December and what a difference a spool makes!  I used it both to piece and to quilt and was amazed at how smoothly my machine ran.  Being rather compulsive about being "tidy" I also appreciate knowing exactly where my spools are and that they remain dust and light free in my drawer without being tangled!

Even though I have heard numerous advertisements, I have never used Aurifil thread.  I would use it for piecing, machine quilting, and applique.

I've used Aurifil thread since 2000.  It is the only thread I use.  The question isn't what I would use Aurifil for....it's what I wouldn't use it for!  I love using it for piecing and machine embroidering simple delicate stitches.  It also keeps my machine cleaner with less lint!  The thread is ideal for hand applique and very fine embroidery.  Beautiful....it is a pleasure to use it.  I never have to stop and think about what kind of thread I need for any of my projects, I just reach for my Aurifil.

Yes! I would use use use this thread until, sniff, it was all gone! I am especially looking forward to piecing with this thread. My next quilt will have a lot of black in it. I love to piece with Aurifil thread - I've been using it for years and love it.  Since using it I've noticed much less bobbin dust bunnies than other brands I have tried.  It's fine enough not to take up too much room in the 1/4" seam allowance but also strong.   Looks like Mark's basic collection is the perfect piecing companion.  I see lots of the colors I use (but am running low on)!  In fact I need to replace my black soon and the mid-taupe is getting close.  I could sure use this wonderfule set!

What will I do with my Mark Lipinski Basic Collection Kit from Aurifil?????  Why, EVERYTHING!  I will piece, applique, quilt and anything else that it looks it might be good for.  I asked the local sewing and quilt stores for so long to carry the full collection of this thread, but to no avail.  After input from other customers, my local sewing machine dealer now carries the entire line.  The ENTIRE line!  Yes, I immediately made a purchase and am finishing free motion quilting a quilt on my machine right now.  AND....since I quilt for other people, I encourage them to purchase Aurifil for me to use.  No breaks!  No knotting!  Just beautiful and goes a long way on the large spools.

I have been wanting to use Aurifil thread but have no other place but the internet to buy it.  I just don't remember THREAD when I buy fabric.  Have been learning FMQ and have had problems with shredding and breaking of my thread.  Have heard this is stronger and finer than what I am using so would like to try it to possibly solve one of my FMQ problems.

Using quality thread, like Aurifil, for all my quilting projects has been one of the best investments I have made in my crafting. Early on I used the cheapest stuff I could find and often wondered why I had breaking thread or lots of lint in my machine. Since changing my piecing and quilting have improved. Hi, since my retirement in 2006, I've become a fulltime quilter working almost exclusively on quilts to be donated to charitable causes such as Quilts of Valor, Project Linus and pillowcases for children and babies at I.A. DuPont Hospital for Children and the neighboring Ronald MacDonald House.  I've only just discovered Aurifil in the last year and was thrilled that as a bobbin thread, it lasts significantly longer.  It's become my 'go-to' thread for everything.  I love the fact that I don't have to stop as often to change bobbins, especially when doing the final machine quilting. This beautiful collection of neutral Aurifil thread would be a tremendous help.

This looks like a wonderful collection of neutral threads.  I've always wanted to try Aurifil, and these threads would be tried out for piecing, for bobbin thread, and probably also for quilting.  I make a lot of community quilts for our guild, so thread is always a great thing to acquire!

I'm a piecer!  I LOVE Aurifil.  Perfect weight, which I like even my machine loves Aurifil.  I also try to do some machine quilting, still challenging but just have to keep at it.

after a little research, I see that these are 50 wt spools so I will most definitely piece with them--oh! like butter! (just bought my first spool and I'm in ♥) I haven't tried machine quilting with it yet so I would try that!! thanks!

well, I have to admit as a quilter and beginning longarmer I have or thought I had just about every thread known.  BUT I do NOT have a single spool of Aurafil!!!  what's with that?!  I have heard so much about Aurafil and how much the longarmers love this stuff from the yahoo groups I belong to that I am truly wanting to try it.  This contest is an excellent venue for me to check out what EVERYONE is talking about when they say what a dream it is to use Aurafil!  

I am a confident beginner quilter and I haven't tried machine quilting yet.  I'm not very patient when it comes to hand quilting so I really want to give this a go.  I have a baby quilt that needs to layered and this would be a good quilt to start machine quilting with.

As the lucky winner, I will adventure into machine quilting.  I have always sent my quilts off to someone else to do the quilting.  I got a new machine in June, and now that I have familiarized myself with the basics of using the machine, I am ready to take the next leap and quilt with it.  From all I've read Aurifil is the recommended thread for quilting by machine.

I have not tried to do any applique but would love to learn, but these would go into my pieced quilting for sure!

I love Aurifill thread, it is the best.  I mostly do pieced quilts and would use this collection on the blocks and quilts I make for Quilts of Valor, and local charity quilts.  The costs of making these has gone up, and this would be a great help!

I would use the thread for piecing.  In addition to its multiple uses for all machine piecing due to the neutral colors, this thread would especially be helpful working on my Dear Jane quilt.  A thin thread is very important when piecing 4-1/2 blocks that contain 40-50 pieces in that little block.

I have so many applique and English paper piecing projects I could try this thread on.

I would use the Mark Lipinski Basics Collection to help me create my first ever embroidered squares quilt. I envision the various blocks with a like design sewn with these great colors. Just bring it on!

I am learning how to embroidery on my new brother - the aurifill would work great. I also longarm quilts for family, friends and donation quilts - the aurifill would work great. I also need to piece all those quilts - the aurifill would work great for that too!

I'd be using the thread to piece and quilt a baseball quilt I'm designing for my new son-in-law.  He went to college on a partial baseball scholarship, has continued playing baseball and softball, and was just named coach of his high school's freshman girls' softball team.  So you can see, ball is important in his life, and I know he'll be thrilled with a baseball quilt.

I have been sewing for 64 years.  I just retired and have start quilting and making Grand children's clothes, blankets, and wraps. The materials have come a long way over the years with new and exciting threads, fabrics, machines and techniques.  It is extremely exciting and fun. With Aurifi threads I would use them as an addition to serging my skirts, aprons, etc.  by adding them to the wave stitch.  Beautiful they will be!

I just went to a retreat with Pat Wys and heard all the wonderful things about Aurifil thread. I would use it to piece quilts and other fun projects and for applique. Applique! That is the technique I want to learn and spotlight this year.  I would use the thread to increase my experience doing applique.

The possibilities are endless! I'm starting to spread my wings from just simple stitch in the ditch to trying different designs on my quilts. The last quilt I made and finished was for a friend that is undergoing cancer treatments. I purchased a lovely plum/dk mauve Aurifil thread at our local quilt expo that looked great with the plums, browns, teals and cream in the quilt. I bit the bullet, used a sunflower with leaves design and it turned out wonderfully! Needless to say I am ready to do more and Aurifil's beautiful threads will help to spur on my creativity!

If I am so lucky to win the aurifil thread I would use it to piece the wide variety of quilts I make.  The space it takes up in my seams is almost none promoting more accurate seams throughout the whole quilt.

I recently tried Aurifil thread and I LOVE IT!!!!  I would use it to piece everything I am making and I am chronically short on these basic colors.  I would use this thread enthusiastically!

I love the neutral colors in this collection.  I've been practicing free motion on scraps, working up the nerve to do some free motion on an actual quilt and these colors will work for the quilts I currently have.

I've never used Aurifil but have heard wonderful things about it!  This would be a great opportunity to try it out on my next quilt project!!

I would use it for all aspects of sewing/quilting. When I pieced I used to always try to match the fabric I was piecing. But after hearing so many national quilt speakers say they use a neutral color, that is what I use. And many have specifically mentioned Aurifil. So that is what I use too. Mine does not turn out like theirs but I no longer have to have a specific color before I can piece the quilt top.

I love Aurifil since the day I first used it.  I use it to piece, machine appliqué and quilt.  I will use it in whatever way suites my fancy.  I ran across town yesterday looking for a certain color to finish the quilt I am working on and they didn't have it.  It is ordered and should be in any time now.  I have to have my Aurifil.

I would use the Aurifil threads on a Family Tree quilt I am making for my sister, it will have a Crazy Quilt style and incorporate many of the family photos - looking at the thread selection I see colors that will work well with the sepia tones as well as the black and white tones in the photos.  The threads would add much to the hand stitching I intend to use in the quilt blocks.

Oh, I love this thread, I bought one spool just to try, and have fell in love.  WHEN I win I will use this to work on the many quilts I have on my Christmas gift list. What a great collection! All the basic colors I use regularly. I would use them to piece, applique, quilt, and bind my projects.  Most of my quilts are original designs, and a couple have even been published. I prefer cotton threads, so would be thrilled to death to win this collection.

What a wonderful collection!  Took a class and the teacher ONLY uses the Aurafil threads.  It was a wonderful workshop on creating your own masterpiece using curves.  So I intend to use this  to creat my own wallhanging masterpiece which uses decorative stitches, embellishments and pieces of wonderful fabrics of all varieties.  I'll send you a pic once I'm done!

My favorite is piecing, so I would want to use it for that, but everybody says it is wonderful for quilting, so I think it would be enough to inspire me to practice my machine quilting.

love free. i only have used the soft white to stitch curtains, but i did like how thin the stitches were. I did piece a table runner with the same thread and when you iron the threads just about disappear into the fabrics. no bulk. Willing to sacrifice my sewing room threads to work with more aurifil

Mark Lipinski's basic collection is great for everything quilting! But I would use this special thread to piece and quilt my first Mariners Compass quilt. A quilt this special deserves nothing but the best and Auriful is the best!

I need to practice more free motion quilting. I would use some of the thread in free motion quilting. I love ragged edge applique and would use Aurifil thread to applique, also.

I am working on my first log cabin quilt and it is lots and lots of different browns, light and darks.  I would use that wonderful thread for the quilting because I want a light colored thread for it.  Then I would save it for quilting my next quilt.

I love Aurafil for machine applique, they blend so well with everything.  They are great for machine piecing because of the strength, but I think I might like to try these for some  English Paper Piecing I have planned.

I'd use mostly for piecing, this collection looks like great neutrals.  I understand there is very little if any lint using this thread.  I am using another thread right now that does have a bit of lint and it is getting annoying.  I may do a little machine applique.  For machine quilting on my longarm I like to use a 40 wt thread.

I would love to take the collection to my quilt group.  We all love to try new products and share new ideas.  That is where I have learned about my now favorite tools, fabric and threads.  We piece, quilt, applique, and do embroidery.    I can see this thread becoming one of our new favorites!

This quilting gal will use this to piece those forgotten scraps in my 15 gallon tub. The little scraps get so excited when I reach down and pick up the tub, but when they realize that I'm just moving them to another location the excitement fades.

So with this pack of thread, I can open the tub of forgotten scraps, piece them together, and quilt them as one. Soon they will wrap theirselves around an elderly person that too has been forgotten.

And now she can wait for her family to visit knowing that someone didn't forget her, but gave her many pieces of love.

well, if I am a lucky winner - I will be using it for all sorts of sewing projects - from appliques to quilting and sewing in between!  I make applique quilts, as well as piecing quilt tops, and lots of sewing projects - like for my nieces -I love to make dresses and I especially love to add decorative stitches on them! I would use the Mark Lupinski Basic Collection mostly for piecing. The neutral colors would match everything.  Because it is 50 wt. it would also be great for machine applique and quilting.

I have never used Aurifil,  bet my quilting friends love it.  I've just cut the fabric for a table topper with metallic threads woven in the background, and I'd like to try the Aurifil on it.

I have a quilt planned for my dear hubby as he is so supportive of my passion for fabric.  He is a woodworker and completely understands having the right tools for a project... I'm very fortunate!  I would use the Aurofil thread to piece and machine quilt this very special quilt.  I've made so many quilts for other family members... it is more than his turn!

this is the first time I am reading about this brand of thread, I always have 6 or 7 projects open all the time.  this thread would be put to good use on a new project I have been thinking about and picturing in my head for a falling leaves quilt, using shadow techniques, but also will use it to quilt the antique 1950s quilt top that my Dads mom made before I was born.

I am a fairly new quilter and am working on my first "real" quilt.  I have been taking classes on quilt construction and have been reading everything I can find on quilting.  I use only quality fabric which I believe deserves the best quality thread.  My quilts are my legacy so I want them to be my best work.  I don't have much thread...two spools so far (white and gray), and I would love to use your collection for piecing, applique and quilting.  

I like sewing new projects.  Walking into a sewing or fabric store with all the different material and threads is more exciting than walking into an old fashioned candy store.  I can get lost for hours dreaming of all the things I can make.  I would love to try your threads:)

I have started to use Aurifil for piecing.  I really like it.  I would like to use it on a whole cloth piece next because it has a soft feel and apperance.

i really need to finish the quilt tops that belonged to my aunt that just passed away this past year. these were all tops she had stored away in a trunk. there are a couple of tops that even have the date 1937 embroidered on them w family members that passed away many years ago. it is such a treasure to me that only the best products should be used!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE aurafil thread!  My piecing is so much more accurate. So should I win the Mark Lipinski Basic thread collection, I would use it primarily for piecing.  I would like to do the Heritage Star pattern from the last issue of McCalls quilting magazine and this thread will improve my sewing those half square triangles and flying geese.

I would use the Mark Lipinski Basics collection to machine quilt the Postage Stamp quilt (almost 6000 1 inch pieces) I began almost 12 years ago. I am purchasing a new sewing machine as well and plan to machine quilt this quilt, although I mostly work with hand quilting.

I would use it to help my mom quilt the double wedding ring quilt she is making for my sister.  She is 71 years old and wants to make each one of her children a quilt.  I think this would build up some great memories for her and me.  She wants to do this because her mother made each of her children a quilt and they had to leave them when they moved.  She will remember the butterfly quilt her mother made her for the rest of her life.  That is the quilt I have asked her to make me.

I'm a brand new quilter and would love to try Aurifil thread for all the projects I have planned in my head! As I am just starting to free motion quilt, I will begin using the Aurifil there and continue with some embroidery, I really liked the way the thread has worked in my machine so far with my first spool and first FMQ project.  

I would use this for piecing and quilting a wedding ring quilt.  I ususally do strip piecing and paper piecing but with my two nieces getting married I wanted to make a wedding ring quilt so I'm venturing into using templates.  I know Aurifl is great thread and this would enhance both quilts.

I love to use Aurifil 50/2 for piecing.  It helps my seams lie extremely flat.  It is simply the very best thread to use for piecing...I also quilt with it when I want to use dense, fine quilting for a background.

I watch "Quilt Out Loud" every weekend, Jodie and Mark have so many quilting ideas I would like to try all the tools and quilting tips they share.  I do not live near a quilt store that sells Aurifil thread, however after reading all the information I can find about this thread I think it will help with all my quilting projects.

The threads presented here are not what I usually choose because they seem boring, but more than one experienced quilter has recommended that I try them, especially for piecing. I also like to quilt by hand and I would enjoy using these highly recommended threads.

I think these threads would be great for just about any part of the quilting process.  I free-motion machine quilt and find light weight threads ideal for intricate designs without thread buildup.

I just discovered Aurifil in May of 2011 and have discovered it works better than any other thread in my machine.  My stitches are even and I have very few problems with jamming and all other things I was struggling with before.  I think it is because I have switched almost exclusively to Aurifil.  Thank you for an incredible thread!  It goes farther than any other thread I have used too!

Yes! I want Aurifil! I have been trying more complex designs that require backtracking and Aurifil does it beautifully without adding a lot of bulk to the lines.

I've used Aurifil exclusively for at least ten years. It's my favorite go-to thread because it doesn't cause lint build-up in my sewing machine, and it's so versatile! I use the 50-weight orange spool for machine piecing, machine quilting and hand- and machine-applique. I like the heavier 40-weight gray spool for hand-sewing binding to a quilt. I would use the Aurifil threads for piecing and machine quilting.  They are the BEST for less bulky seams and less lint in my machine.

This basic collection would be great to have.  They all would work for all of the above.  The perfect color to piece, embroider, or quilt.  When start to quilt I always make sure I have enough of the color of thread to finish the job (the big spools).  These colors and spool size would be great to have on hand to start and finish any quilt from start to finish.

Initially, I would wan tto try the collection for machine applique but I am excited to see how versatile this threead could be for my over all use.

The basics are just that. I use Aurifil to piece and to quilt the final quilt.  I am always running out of the basic colors.  All the pretty decorative colors can be used for dressing up and decorating, but the foundation has to be laid before that can be done.

Not having the lint in my machine, keeping my thread from breaking, I will  have it for my manly man quilt.  I had not thought of what colors I should use until I saw these.  My machine quilting will be nothing but the best lines and beautiful curves.  Will be for my best man ever.

I have been wanting to try this thread.  I keep reading about the wonders of this product such as no lint, strong but fine fibers.  Piecing is more accurate as it does not take up as much seam because the thread is thinner.  Shows off the quilting in more detail.  I have also heard that it is wonderful for hand applique, which I do a lot of.  The thought of owning a collection of colors stirs my creativity!!

Having never used Aurifil thread before, I would love to try it. I've been making quilts for family and friends for years, but I'm now sharing my quilts with others and sew for Victoria's Quilts Canada - Climax Branch.  We provide free quilts for cancer patients in the province of Saskatchewan.  Unfortunately, the requests come in on a steady basis so there is no end to the need for sewers and quilters.  This box of thread would definitely be put to good use as I make quilts that bring comfort and warmth to others.

When I bought my Bernina, the shop owner told our mastery class that we didn't have to match thread to fabric color for piecing since it is all hidden. These wonderful neutrals would allow me to piece faster since I wouldn't have to change thread so often.  I would use the threads to make more quilts for the kids at Mayo/St. Mary's Pediatric Infusion Therapy Dept (kids' chemo).

I have just been lucky enough to spend a week in Venice, walking the canals and exploring all the back streets away from the tourists.  The charm, the delights of the sounds and smells transported me to another place.  I spent my time taking photographs of mosaic floors, venetian chimneys, unique doors and doorbells.  Trawling through the art galleries I saw paintings that a quilter could lift designs from, but more intriguing was paintings of a different squares in Venice, done in the 14th century, had the same skyline, the same chimneys there today.  I plan to bring my memories of all this into one piece of work to incorporate into an art quilt  to communicate with people what Venice evokes through the centuries.  I plan to do it in Italian fabrics and  being able to piece and quilt with Aurifil threads would make my piece a truely commorative work of the Venetian people and Italy.

A friend told me about Aurafil and I found it at my local quilt shop.  I purchased one spool and made a sample block with it.  What a surprise.  The thread is so smooth that I can hardly feel the stitch line.  It glides through my machines (viking designer and singer featherweight).  My main quilt projects for 2012 include the Farmer's Wife Sampler and an Tapestry Stars quilt for my daughter.  I will be using Aurafil for piecing both projects.   I have not tried using it as embroidery thread although it is smooth and fine enough.   If I win, I will try it, otherwise I will save it for piecing as that is my sewing passion.

I've just discovered the joys of thread painting having completed eighteen thread painted bird blocks for an auction quilt, the birds having been drawn by first grade students. I love the colors and smooth sewing of Aurofil in my machine for piecing and for thread ppainting, I'd be thrilled to win.

I'm new to quilting, but have heard so many great things about Aurifil threads from the experts.  I would use it for piecing, embroidery and my first attempt to appliqué!  Thanks!

I would use the collection for all of the above!  I was first introduced to this thread in a needle turn hand applique class.  I have since used it to piece and machine quilt.  I would love to try thread painting with this collection!

I love using Aurifil thread. I would use this thread for piecing and machine quilting on my domestic machine, and for applique if the colors are a match. This thread is less linty than any I have used, and piecing is much more accurate.

I use Aurifil all the time and love it.  I use it for everything!  A Mark Lapinski Basics set would be lovely to have and use on all my sewing endeavors.  I do a lot of garment construction, too, and this is a very wonderful thread for that.  

I use Aurifil thread to piece, machine applique, quilt, and hand sew bindings.

I have so many ideas how I would use this thread. After 30 some years of working as a Social Worker, I have just retired. My new career is exploring all different types of quilting from traditional quilts to crazy quilts to landscape quilting. I am overjoyed by the number of options there are to explore these days now that I have some time and energy. I have heard so many good things about Aurifil thread and look forward to using it whether or not I win it. Thanks

I haven't had the pleasure of sewing with this thread, but have only heard great thing about it. So I would try in all my quilting.

I would use the thread for quilting and sewing projects.  I like aurifil and would like to add to my thread because I am low on almost every brand.  We all want to win no matter how much thread we already have because it is part of our stash.

I would use this awesome thread packs by finishing some blankets and starting some new quilts.  I am learning how to quilt by hand and by machine, so this would be an awesome addition to my sewing station.

This is the only thread I use. I use it to do piecing and machine quilting. I would replenish my thread inventory and look forward to the projects it would complete. You can't get anywhere in quilting without the thread! AND you can never have too much.

I would be so happy to use a thread that doesn't lint up my machine.Using a quality thread like Aurifil keeps machine repairs at a minimum.I could use it in every application of quilting. I'm a beginning free motion quilter & can see this being my go-to thread .

I would start by using the thread for piecing, then as I learn more, I'd move on to machine quilting and embroidery.

I never had the privilege to use Aurifil threads.  I sure would love to, I heard so many good things about them.  I would applique and quilt a special quilt for my bedroom with them if given the chance. I would just love to win and try them out.

I would need this thread to make christmas placemats. I had my grandchildren draw me simple Christmas pictures. I have a really cute place mat pattern that has an octagan shape middle (where the picture will be placed) that  combineds wonderful bright  Christmas materials. I plan to make one for each mom and girl . I can't wait to make mine. Since I have four grandgirls I will use each one on my kitchen table at Christmas. Priscilla Dalton

I've been experimenting with art quilts, and have used some Aurifil. It would be nice to have a better collection.

I just recently discovered Aurilfil thread.  I used it to machine quilt a wall hanging.  I love the smooth texture of the thread.  It has a delightful sheen instead of the fuzzy dull look of many cotton threads and it doesn't leave a lot of lint in my bobbin case.  Also, I have no tension problems or thread breakage when I use Aurilfil.

I would love to have a collection on hand so I could use it for piecing, free-motion quilting, and maybe I'll even try appliqueing and use some nice stitching around the applique.  I bet it would be gorgeous.

Quilting is still a new area for me. I had my first sewing machine at age 10.  Making my own clothes made me feel special and I knew no one else at school would have own what I did.  So quilting has allow me to play with colors and fabric and it's wonderful to learn new thing .   I would use my thread to add that special original touch that I could call my own.  It would give me the chance to add thread to my learning experience.

I have been trying to improve my machine applique skills and recently purchased a new pattern.  Would love to have these threads to use on that quilt.

I already use Aurifil for my piecing and would love to use it more often but it is a far piece to drive to refill my need for more thread.  I also want to get into Machine Applique and this thread would be a great thing to aid me in accomplishing that goal.  Thanks for providing this opportunity to win this thread collection.

Aurifil thread is just perfect for piecing and quilting.  I ony use this thread  because I don't have to refill my bobbing so frequent nor experience breakage.  Would love to win this thread for all my sewing projects and reproduction quilts.
