For a quilter to travel today!

Actually I have mobility issues. But I llike to sew the the room of the house whixh has the best light during each part of the day. I could push my sewing table with it's portability from room to room. That would be fantastic!

My sewing room is in our finished basement and I would love to be able to have my Machine upstairs sometimes. We have alot of company so having a Gidget II would allow me to put it out of the way when people stay for weeks at a time and then I could pull it out again. Also would be great to take to my Mom's so we could sew together. She is 84 and wouold love for me to come sew.  

My family does alot of camping and outdoorsy things in the summertime and It would be great to be able to take the Gidget II on some of those adventures and still get some quilting done. We are looking to upgrade our camper this year and I would love to be looking for one that would fit the Gidget II perfectly!

I love to sew where ever I can. I have kids who sew also, so I could take it with me when I baby sit or  when we all get together to sew.  I would share it with them (maybe).  My daughter would love to borrow it as she has a condo, so not much room to sew.  She would be able to move it around any where she needed to.  

I have been DROOLING over this nifty little table every time I see it in a magazine- it would be absolutely perfect for taking on retreat or when I go to a friend's house for a quilting day. We also have a camper- just heaven to sit on the deck in the warm months and sew!

The Gidget II would be perfect for the monthly bee meetingswere we have enough room just not enough table space. It would also be great at the workshops it's so easy to get it places and makes for a great workspace that is your own.

We have a second home in Mexico and the Gidget ll would be perfect for my sewing there.  Much better than having to move on and off the kitchen table.

I too like to sew in different rooms of my house.  This would be super handy for that.  I'm using a little unfinihed cabinet from a craft store now.  It's cute, but only 20 inches high.

I am in a wheelchair and this little beauty would help me alot. I have to set up my cardtable when ever I sew and it is not the easiest to move, much less it is not real stable when the machine runns it shakes all over. This would be great I could store it and easily move it. Thanks!!

As I am handicapped, I will probably just put the Gidget IIwhere ever I am most comfortable at the time.  I also want to join the local quilting guilds and the Gidget II will be extremely helpful in doing that.

To quilting retreats with awesome friends, great food and a fun time had by all. Our quilting retreat is 3 days long.

I have a crowded sewing room and sometimes need to use two different machines on a project and an extra sewing machine table would be a great help. I will use it in my dinning room when my 5 nine year olds come to learn to sew on wedensdays after school. When they finish I can put it away and get my dinning room back.

I would take it to retreats.  Our small group goes to a 3 or 4 day retreat several times a year--for 7 years now.  We have gone to retreat centers, homes that on the national historic register and cabins on a lake, so our conditions are varied. We have stitched in dining areas, used kitchen counters for cutting and played kneesese (bumping knees under the table because our space is so limited.  The Gidget II would be a wonderful gift for all of us to share.

Let's see.....after traveling from the kitchen to the living room to the bedroom and then probably back to the kitchen so I could sew where the family was, it would be all warmed up to go to my weekly charity quilting time at church, a friend's house on the weekend and then, of course, a retreat or two during the year!!  What a useful table!!  

I will use this to take to quilting classes.  It will give me "my own" working space

Oh boy, where to begin!!  I would take it when we travel for holidays, take it to a quilting class/guilds, to my parents, up and down the stairs to sew and spend time with my family at the same time!  That table doesn't look like there is anywhere you can't take it, what a perfect gift!

This handy little table would be great to take along in the camper when I go to inspirational places like the mountains and the shore. Oh what wonderful things could be sewn with the help of Gidget II.

This would definitely go on my quilting retreats in 2012. I would also most like be set up in my sewing space to hold either my sewing machine or serger so I won't have to put one away to use the other.

This is just what I've been needing. I would take it everywhere I go to sew. When I visit my son out of town, I do a lot of sewing for his new house. It's an older home and they are refurbishing inside and out. This house just cries for quilts and 1930's decoration so the Gadget II table would get a lot of use. Also my grandson in another state wants to learn to quilt so this would help me make that possible since there isn't a good place to set up his 'class room'.

I would use it in my sewing room (aka a visiting child's bedroom) most of the time, and also in my bedroom for quick projets when my sewing room is "occupied"!

I would love to be able to take my sewing machine and use it in my bedroom with my door locked when I am working on a project that is to be a surprise.  Now I have to do it all when people aren't around, and pack it all up and hide it.  Last year, my husband walked earlier from work than I expected, and there went the surprise.

For a quilter to travel today!

Right now my sewing machine is sitting on a very thin press board desk that is falling apart. I definitely need something I can put my machine on that I'm not afraid of it falling in my lap while sewing. Eeek!

I would take my Gidget II Table to my children's homes!  Much easier to sew up curtains or home dec projects right where they're needed rather than bringing their projects to my already-crowded sewing room.  

This would definately accompany me to all retreats and sew-ins!!  I'm just thinking how erogonomically wonderful this would be!

I would love to take my gidget II to quilting retreat because I am tall and the chairs at the tables at the retreat do not fit me correctly.

My sewing room is actually our guest room.  My husband built a Murphy Bed so it can be used as a sewing room.  The  Gidget II would allow me to put it out of the way when family comes for a visit & still be able to sew in another room.   We also have an RV that we travel in and so it would be great to be able to take the Gidget II on some of our travels and still get some quilting done. I usually sew in my den which doesn't have a TV.  With the Gidget II I wouldn't have to choose between a favoite TV show and my sewing machine!

If I had the Gidget, I would take it to my living room so I can watch TV while I sew, and I could also take it to my niece's house where I can teach her to sew and hopefully instill in her (she's 8) a lifelong love of quilting/sewing/creating that we can share together!

I would love to win the Gidget II!  It has been on my wish list for quite some time.  It would be perfect to take to my monthly embroidery/quilting/sewing day with friends.  It would also be perfect in our motorhome for our annual family reunion in June.  It would also be great for setting up in front the big screen tv to watch a "chick flick" while piecing a quilt top--does it get any better than that!  With the limited space in our home, and motorhome, having wheels is a real plus.

I don't have a specific sewing room and currently use a card table.  The flatbed feature is an absolute must which I need.  Oh, please!!!

The Gidget could be used for my serger, as well. My sewing space is limited, and this would be a great solution for me!

It would be most useful for moving around in my house and for taking with me to my church where we sew for charity, but don't always have enough table space.

The Gidget II is exactly what I need. I am going to be going on a retreat this next year and would love this. It is perfect to take with me. I would love to win this table.  I have a very small space to sew....on my bed.  It's not very comfortable to say the least.  This table would save my back for sure!

This table would be a tremendous blessing to me.  I do a lot of sewing for charity work for my church and I end up using the kitchen table because I have a small home.  Of course, that necessitates putting everything away when dinner comes.  With this table I can set up anywhere I want and when I'm not sewing the table folds conveniently for storage.  And putting dinner on the table won't be a big hassle anymore!  Good luck to everyone entering the contest.  I'm sure whoever wins will love this wonderful gift!

HMMMM.  I doubt that I would "take" it anywhere except to the rec room where I work my projects.  My machine is on a dining room table which wobbles when I get going.  Also, would be nice to have a table for the machine and one for cutting, etc.  instead of having to clear a path.  

I love the Giget II it would go with me on my annual quilting retreat to Thetis Island in the Gulf of Georgia and to my guild quilting seminars.

I have others come over for quilting and this would be perfect to have in the dining room so we could share and use something other than the kitchen table.   It looks perfect and sturdy.

I would take it from one room in my home to another, so that way I could quilt  whenever my mom was resting or having meetings.

At first glance, I wasn't going to enter this give-away.  Obviously the Gidget II is too large for my Bernina 440 - I must need the original Gidget with smaller cut-out.  Then I watched the videos linked from your website, and I saw that an acrylic insert can be ordered to exactly fit my machine and fill the space of the bigger cut-out.  And since the Gidget II has wheels to help in transporting it, then I say, let's load this baby in the horse-drawn sleigh and head to grandmother's house or the nearest quilt retreat.  How nice to be able to sit and sew at the proper height rather than using my machine on top of a retreat table which tires my shoulders and wrists.  Thank you for offering this fine gift.  I, like all the others here, would be delighted to win it and take it "over the river,"  err, "TO the river." I have a friend who is going to teach me to thread paint in the new year and it would be wonderful to have this for my machine on the days I go to her house.  She has her own sewing tables and this would give me my own space as we work.  Because I have grasping problems with my hands, I have many notions that I use, but I think having purposeful notions for our quilting/sewing craft is the way to go.

We go to the lake all year round and I also go to quilt retreats and this would be wonderful to take for my machine.  Usually you have a table either too tall or short.

I would take the Gidget II to visit my sister. She lives about 7 hours away, and although we both love quilting, we haven't been able to set up in the same house. With the Gidget we would have our own little retreat some weekend!  Almost as good as a cruise!

My sewing area is in the bedroom, which is cold in the winter.  This table would make it easy to move my machine into the living room and I would sew more often.    

Oh My, the Gidget 11 would be the handiest tool for my quilting, I go to two different locations a week and love to sew in my gazebo in the summer.  This is the ideal table , in place of the banquet tables ... sure would love one to put with my "travelling" machine!

Gidget ii will go on my quilting retreat a couple of times a year. The rest of the time is will hold a sewing machine dedicated to free-motion quilting.

Definitely the Gidget II will be accompanying me to my " future daughter-in-law's " house she is so very interested in learning how to quilt and this would be the perfect table to take to her apartment.

Oh boy, I could sure use this in our finished lower level.  When the grandchildren sleep over I could just whisk my sewing machine out of the way.  It would be wonderful.  I have been looking at these and dreaming for ages, but simply can't buy it if I want to buy fabric also.  I'm sure whoever wins it will love it.

I have a family member in prison in a neighboring state. We go to visit him monthly for a few hours 2 days in a row but it also leaves a lot of down time when I could be accomplishing various sewing projects and it would be fantastic to have the right height table to set my sewing machine on and the portability is fantastic!

I would take it to the poconos in PA.  Each year 4  of us take a girls sewing week at least once and get away.  When not traveling, I would use it in my sewing room to put up my extra machine.  Then I could set up quilting and embroidery stations for myself!

Oh the uses for Gidget II.... around home would be great.... then there are the weekend retreats ..... then there is the "cottage" I rent with my sister up north for a week.  Think sewing in the dining/living room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water with birds, deer (including an albino deer) and maybe Gidget II.....

I would take it to Florida for the winter with me, if I am fortunate enough to get there. Never stop quilting.

I had major back surgery at the end of July. It has been virtually impossible for me to be in my sewing room so my DH brings my sewubg machine to the kitchen table and then he has to take it back to the sewing room before we have meals.  I would love to be have a Gidget II table to use in my living room so I wouldn't have to keep moving my machine back and forth.  I will not be able to lift or move my machine for many, many months to come and winning this table would be wonderful.

The only place I have to sew is on my dining room table.  I would take this great Gidget ll table to my daughters house when I visit in January to help watch her 3-1/2 year old and 20 month old sons while she is in the hospital giving birth to my first granddaughter.  I will have to bring my sewing machine as I will be sewing a Christening gown for this new baby from left over satin from my daughter's wedding dress.  Made one for the boys and now look forward to making one for my granddaughter.  I usually sew on her dining room table and we have to keep moving the machine when we want to sit down and eat.

Wow!  This is just what I need for my new GIANT Bernina 820 so I can be mobile with it to attend workshops and classes.  I really, really want one!

I would take it with my quilting supplies to my sons when I go to babysit. Just finished my grandson a quilt for Christmas made of John Deere material.

My Dad has late-stage Parkinsons and my brothers, sisters and I(there's nine of us)take turns staying with him from 4 pm until 9 am weekdays and all weekend. I made a quilt for him because he's always cold and would like to do more sewing while I'm at his house. Sewing is therapeutic for me because it takes my mind off my Dad's disease for a little while. The Gidget II would be ideal for my situation as there is limited space available for a machine and cabinet.

The Gidget II would do double duty for me!  I have some vintage machines and I would be able to put one of them in the Gidgett in the sewing room. In March, when I go on my guild's quilt retreat, it would go with me!

I'm new to quilting and it is a very costly but fun hobby.  Winning this Gidget II would be fabulous, that will be one less thing I have to spend money on and I can buy more fabric etc instead.  I am a caregiver for my Mom and she doesn't like being alone in the evening, so I don't like to sit in the sewing room for too long, so having this portable table would be over the top for me.

My dog, GInger is 14, and for all of her life she has followed me where ever I am. I used to quilt upstairs but now I have to do it in the living room so she can lay next to me. I would use my table there so she would always be able to be close.

If i had an arrow table, i would take it with me everywhere i go.  Grandma will just have to get her own table.  This one will be made to fit my machines.  Isn't that being mean to grandma?  You durned tooting it is!  But this is a fabric eat fabric world we live in!!!!  Smile.

Our quilting bee is "Quilts from the Heart". We make quilts for various charities such as Bo's Place, hospital patients, displaced folks and others. This table would be donated to our bee so that we can accomodate more quilters. More quilters, more completed projects. Thank you!

I would love to have the Gidget to take if I get to go to my daughter's so that I can make some curtains for her home.  She lives in S.C. and I live in La. and it would be so easy to go there and measure and sew and not worry if they will fit.

We have a small RV and love to travel. I would love to be able to take my sewing machine and a project or two with me. We have gone to Alaska a couple of times and are looking forward to another trip when we can get away.

I would use it to actually put my sewing machine into!  My husband and his brother promised me a "handmade" sewing cabinet 40 years ago, and I'm still waiting.  The machine has probably  logged over a million miles already, but always from the kitchen table.

If I had the Gidget II table it wold follow me through my home as I can't always decide where I want to be in my home and what windows I want to look out of as I sew. I might even take it with me to a quilt retreat. I am sure that the little table will tell me a lot of places it might want to be and I would be happy to take it along with me. So Gidget, come to my home so we can explore lots of places and share the adventures together.

I have one of these and I love it because it fits well into my small sewing room.  I also like the portabillity of it for classes and retreats.

I would just love to win the Gidget and take it with me when I travel from N.C. to N.Y. to spend time and help my elderly parents.  This is sometimes both enjoyable and stressful due to their health and I do like to quilt as a good form of therapy to help me relax during stressful times.  The good thing is after I quilt I have a nice project completed rather than hours focusing on things I cannot change.

This would be an awesome table to take to WORK with me!!  Yes, I have that privelage of being able to sew at work!   And also it would go visiting family and friends with me, as it never fails- If Sheila is coming- there is some sewing we can have her do!!!  

If I won the Gidget II I could take it downstairs to sew on while I watch TV with my husband.  I have been spending less and less time sewing upstairs in my dark sewing room because itis boring and he misses me.  In the evening we like to sit and watch our favorite shows together.  I enjoy doing handwork but now have arthritis and would love to piece on a portable table I could take anywhere in the house, even on the back porch when the weather permits.  I could even take it to my mother's home and we could sew together.

Not only would I use it here at home, but I would be able to take it to quilt bees and when a few friends get together to sew and quilt with each other.  Oh, what a handy table that would be.  I would treasure it and definitely put it to use many times each week and usually each day.

I would take the Gidget II everywhere we go camping at bluegrass festivals to replace:  folding tables that vibrate just when the machine really starts purring along; tiny dinnettes in the travel trailer that were never designed to be ergonomic for sewing; rickety center pedestal tables that bob and weave when you just breathe on them; and picnic tables that are gooey and snag, rip, and clutch at my quilting.  Then when I return home, Gidget II would become my BFF at quilt groups, retreats, festival classes, and even in the living room when the winter winds are roaring and I want to quilt as close to the wood stove as possible..

What a wonderful table.  I would take mine camping with me.  I have a sewing room but sometimes feel isolated from the rest of the family...so I would bring mine into the livingroom so I can visit.  The possibilities are unlimited.  Hugs

The Gidget II table would be perfect for days when I want to sew downstairs in the family room instead of my sewing room.  In additon, It would also be perfect for all those Guild workshops and for when our mini group quilts together. How perfect a Gidget II would be for me!  My house is for sale, and when we have a showing, I have to quickly put my sewing room in order.  Being able to fold up my sewing table and stash it would certainly make the room appear larger (and less cluttered).  Then I could take it to our guild retreat next summer also!  My daughter-in-law is a new quilter, she could use the Gidget II when she comes over to sew with me!  Wow...I think I could make a rather large list of the ways I could use a Gidget II!!

I have a very small sewing room with no table for my new machine.  Presently it resides on an old cabinet top and is a very poor height.  The Gidget II would be perfect in this room as well as going to weekend sewing retreats.  I am so excited!!!

A  Gidget would meet my needs for portability throughout my house and on the road.  I just never know when or where my sewing machine will be needed.  It would be nice to have a table that would go along to the cottage or Grandpa's.

I have yet to get to see this table in our local craft stores. I have friends from other states that have them and have raved about the sturdiness etc.  I currently use an old church fellowship hall dinning table to do all my sewing on. Works well but takes up alot of room in my sewing room. I think this would open my room up to more possibilities. Would be a great addition to have.

Actually I would love to have the Gidget II for my tiny sewing room.  I have my machine in the living room now but to have a place to sew in my room would be fantastic.  I would also take it to my quilt retreats!!  :)

I could put one to good use in my motorhome.  Right now I'm using a rickety tv tray & I'm always afraid my sewing machine will fall & break.  This table would be perfect in the space I have & would be able to put away easily when done.

This would be a great addition to my sewing room tools.  I would take it to my sewing group, cause my machine would set down where I'm used to it being at home, instead of on a table top, which is too high for me.

Several of us rent a cabin at our annual quilter's retreat rather than staying in the lodge so that we can sew together in between classes and programs.  We also meet at my cousin's house several times a year for a quilting day.  The Gidget 11 would be much sturdier and space efficient than the card table I take to these events.  I would also use it to keep up a second sewing machine at home.  Thanks for the opportunity to win one.

The Gidget II might end up at my mother's house. An extended visit is  coming up, to look after the inevitable and unenviable "sell-the-house-and-move-into-care" scenario. Quilting will keep me sane, and I'm trying to figure out how much of my  studio I can take with me....this wouldbe a great start!

I would use it in my upstairs sewing room instead of the kitchen table. The main one is downstairs, and I use 2 metal desks for quilting.

I would love to have th Gidget II.  This would allow me to have the bed of my machine at the same level as the table surface, a more appropriate work height.  This would certainly eliminate the neck and shoulder pain I experience when sewing for long periods of time.   Of course, since it's so portable, I just might have to take it with me on vacation next time I drive down to my Mom's place.

I would love to use my Gidget II while traveling in my camper.  It folds down flat so it will fit right along side my little table while we are driving down the road, and when we stop, I can take the little table off its stand and put my Gidget in its place.  I would LOVE to have a table like that to also take to a quilt retreat.  It would hold my machine and keep the large table free from my cutting mat and my extra fabrics.  I would LOVE to have a Gidget II

I would take the Gidget II on camping trips with our travel trailer. The rear of our travel trailer has a door that opens as a ramp for loading 4 wheelers, motorcycle, or golf carts. It's a perfect area for a traveling sewing room.

I would take the Gidget II to my weekly guild meeting.  We have grown so, there is sometimes not enough room for everyone at the tables!

If I can convince my husband I really need to quilt while we're snowbirding, it will be going to Arizona or SoCal or NM or Florida, wherever we decide to escape the winters of northern New England.

I love to organize my sewing room and especially love table top equipment.  This looks terrific.

Since I am already in Florida for the winter, the table would remain here as I do not  have an extra table on which to set up my sewing machine.  I would take it back and forth with me for the classes in the Hobby Bldg.

Since my main sewing machine is downstairs in my home and very heavy, I would use the gidget upstairs with my portable machine for quick jobs or when I need to be nearer my parents to give better care.

My sewing room is the guest bedroom, so every time we have visitors I have to dismantle the sewing area and prepare for the guests. During the visits I can't sew. The gadget II would give me the flexibility to move my projects to another room while we have visitors and continue working on my projects. Dream come true!

I would use it to sew anyplace in my house. My machine sits on a big table so it would be nice to be able to move my macine to other areas of my house. I would also take it when I could visit my daughter, who is away at college, in Flagstaff, AZ. Also be great to take to quilting classes.

My house is too small to have my machine out 24/7 so I would drag this table & my machine over the carpet and to the living room I'd go. Oh what a way to make my day as I sit and sew and sew!!!!

The Gidget II is just what my grand daughter needs to be able to have her sewing machine downstairs, where she can sew in good light. Also it would enable me to help her without climbing those stairs.

I'd take it to Branson with me every Christmas.  To Florida or South Carolina or Wisconsin or Vermont or New Mexico in the summer.  I'd take it to Mystery Club Meetings, to classes, to Michael Miller Clubhouse, to a friend's house and out in the living room in front of the big tv while my husband's off golfing.

My sewing table is my dining room table.  I would desperately love a new sewing table esp. one I could move around and use on a retreat.

The sewing table would travel between my home, monthly small group meetings, and retreats.  It will also travel to the library where I plan on volunteering and teaching young girls and boys basic quilting skills.

I use my dining room table as my sewing table.  It would be great to have a table for my machine that would also be great for free motion quilting as well as sewing that I would not have to take down when in the middle of a project.

I would use the sewing table as an addition to the table I already sew on.  I'm learning to machine quilt my finished projects and feel that it will be to my advantage to have my machine level with my table.  I've tried to use the add-on plexiglass table for my machine, but the quilt gets stuck under it.  Having arthritis in my hands makes it hard to hold all the fabric.  I think the sewing table will be a big help to me.

The Gidget 11 would be the solution to alot of my problems.  I don't have a space to call my own for sewing so it would alow me to take my sewing projects to whatever space I can use.  No more having to pick up projects from the dinning room table every night.

My gidget 2 will go everywhere with me including to our new trailer we will be renting starting Monday. Then it will go on quilting retreat if I ever find one in our area and to many different relatives houses for me to use while I visit them.

To my friends house for a marathon quilting spree just before christmas. That is where I would take mine if I won. or for valentines.

We would set up the Gidget II in the dinning room when the grandchildren come over. I have a wooden antique wooden sewing table, the Gidget would be set up next to it. The grandchildren are already learning to sew. With this table, we will have dualing machines!

I love being able to sit the machine down inside so there is a wider base.  I move my machine into a spare bedroom for the winter and this table will simplify that for me greatly.  Great product!

My best friend Wendy lives in Virginia.  We visit each other a couple of times a year and when we are together, we are always sewing. I would use a Gigget  mostly at home. It would free up my dining table which currently is used as a sewing table, but it would also let me take my machine with me if needed. Last year I ended up staying with family following illness and wasn't able to have sewing machine with me  with a get I could still have my machine when can' be at home.

I love this Gidget II table.  It would be so easy to move around the house for wherever I am sewing that day, as well as for retreats, sew-ins, and workshops.  I think that it has wheels is what I love absolutely the most!!

My Gigget II would go with me to camp in the summer time where I could sit on my porch and sew until my hear is content but it would get used at home as well.  I don't have a table that my sewing machine sits down it and this would be a real plus for my sewing room.

I would use the Gidget II for quilt class, retreats and traveling to my moms, as well as from my sewing room to the kitchen or living room when the other ladies from class are over for some extra quilting time to finish group projects.

My sewing room is set up in my finished basement, so I'd love to use the Gidget II whenever I might like to sew upstairs instead of downstairs.   It would be so handy when traveling to visit relatives if I want to take my machine along.  It looks like a nice little luxury to have!

I would use the Gidget II in my own home. It is perfect to tuck in a corner out of the way. I could then sew while I am busy with other things that need to get done. My sewing "studio" is upstairs and this would be perfect downstairs. I thing it would be an opportunity to accomplish more.

Since my craft room is where I store all my supplies for quilting, scrapbooking, painting, general crafts, and tons of other items.  Has become somewhat crowded, I would love to be able to set up sewing machine & Gidget table in livingroom.  Where I would have plenty of room, and would be able to fold down when I have vistors.

I would use my Gidget II portable table in my sewing room and I would take it to my sister's house, so we could spend time sewing together.  Plus, I think I would use it in my screen house to sew in the summer months here in Minnesota. It's beautiful being outside in the summer and sewing would make it that much better!!!

I would take my Gidget  to my friends  houses when we get together to sew and also when we going camping for several months at a time, as well as use it at home as I currently have no real sewing table.

My nieces and their friends and several of my friends like to gather in my sewing room to 'sit and sew'.  Having this sturdy table would certainly help with the placement of the various machines.  Besides having a semi-permanent spot in my sewing room, I am certain that Gidget II would love to join us at our annual quilt retreat!

If I had the Gidget 2 table there is no where I would not go with it. I would take it to the beach on vacation even-and when my husband askes me about it , I would tell him it is my favorite surf board!!! I would take it into our family room when they are watching tv---so I can join them and sew at the same time-keeping an eye on my young son and all of his friends. I would take it to my sewing friends homes when we have sewing dates, I would take it to my guild meetings to show it off and for when we have classes, I would take it to my quilting retreats--so that I could sit and sew in style and comfort while I am having total me time. I would take it to my in laws house in Long Island so I could so and get away from all that family get together anxiety and maybe help them to get the sewing bug. i would put it out on the back door deck under the shade to sew when it is too hot in my sewing room in the summer. I would even be tempted to take it to work so that I could sew during my brake time!!!!!

Although it won't go far -- geographically speaking -- it will find a good home in my bedroom where I now quilt on an old desk that is both rickety and inappropriate for the job.  

I would take the Gidget 2 to my quilt club, the Waterloo Needlework Club, and leave it there so anyone who brings their sewing machine in to sew would have a great place to work.  We sew lap quilts to give to senior centers, baby quilts to give to hospitals, and quilts to give to homeless shelters.

I live over the river and through the woods, and friends and family gather here.  When we sew, it depends on how many of us there are...small gatherings are in the main house, medium gatherings are in the lodge craft room and large gatherings can use the bunkhouse/classroom.  We move tables a lot...and use some that are quite makeshift.  (This used to be a B&B and retreat center)  The gidget would be a great addition!

Right now I am using a TV tray for my sewing table and it doesn't provide much stability.  This table would be perfect for my current needs and I could start taking my quilting with me when visiting family for extended caretaking visits.

I will use the table for going to my favorite quilt guild retreat.  Also, it would be great for classes.  Tables provided there are always to high!!  These tables are just the right hignt and the machine drops in!!!!

I would take Gidget II with me when we travel to our children's homes.  Each of the 3 boys and their wives are expecting a baby so we have lots of sewing/quilting to do for the little ones.  I prefer using my Bernina so Gidget would allow me to take it along.

I repeat 1963!!!  I think I am due for an upgrade!  I live in a very rural area, and it would be great when my quilter friends come for a mini-retreat to have another 'real' sewing table available, rather than the dining room table. Over the river and through the woods, I need to go to my first quilting retreat. I really need a vacation, and a mini quilting retreat with Gidget II will be the best way to start my retreat. It will be even better to take to my daughter's new home to make new home decorations. What a way to start a new year.

So many great comments... Our guild retreats are always at the city hall on the big tables, they are too tall, so I have to sit on two chairs stacked on each other to be high enough...  So this would be great for those retreats!  

I would first take my Gidget table straight to sewing room for an introduction to my sewing machine and they would be so delighted to meet!

It will go to my friends house when we get together to quilt.  We won't have to share a machine then.

Also to Illinois when I visit my sister, who is also a quilter.  It will be fun to quilt together!

I will be going to our guild retreat in January where the tables are never the correct height! This would be such a help. My machine would be thrilled to be parked in such a nice venue and my friends would all be jealous! No more sore back or shoulders...

We spend 6 weeks in Colorado skiing but I always take a lot of fabric with me to make some quilt tops while we are there and this table would be ideal for sewing on the days when I don't feel like hitting the slopes.

I'd love to have a sewing table of any kind.  Right now I sew on my dining room table and it is a real pain to clear off every time we want to eat.  A small table like this would fit in my spare room easily.  I probably wouldn't take it anywhere else - just room to room!

What a joy it would be to have a portable sewing table! My husband and I travel to Georgia each spring to visit his brother. It would be wonderful to have this table to use for quilting while the guys are out playing golf...Judy

My husband has three more weeks before he retires.  We bought a travel trailer to see our beautiful country, but I can't leave behind my sewing machine, so this table would be just the perfect thing for such a small space.

I have a very small space to sew and must move my machine to the dinning table but it must be moved when it is time to eat.  I've never had anything special like this.  It would mean I could sew and not have to clear the table every each time I want to sew.  I have back problems and have to have someone to move the machine for me, this way I can be independent.  Thanks

My sister, sister in law and I like to get together once a month and sew and swap patterns.  The table looks like a wonderful way to set up sewing where ever I go and gives my machine a safe place to be.

To go to as many Quilt retreats as I can find and get the time off of work go. It would go with me winter spring summer and fall. also to the living room for Play Offs and such.

I would take the table with us in the motorhome as we retire and take to the road.  I would also take it along to the twice yearly retreats i go to where there is just not enough tables. I would take it to friends on quilting days.  i would move it around the house when i have to sew in different spaces and i would use it for friends when they come to my house to sew.  Its a wonderful item and i would be so excited if i could win it.

The temporary Legion facility is very small. The auxilliary ladies sew and quilt items for the veterans. This table would be very beneficial to the group in the smaller area while funds are raised to re-build. Thank you for the opportunity.

In my case it's GRANDMA that goes over the river & through the woods.  My daughter, who lives about 490 miles away, has already requested that I bring my sewing machine along on my next visit.  I'll be spending some quality time sewing my grandson's scout badges on his uniform & teaching my granddaughter how to sew. They live in cramped quarters and the Gidget II would be the perfect size table for traveling & sewing on.  What an awesome product!  Good luck to ALL the entrants!

This  table is great! I could put ion my car and take it with me when I go tto visit family! And honestly it would be too nice to save for traveling! I just might use it everyday in my sewing room or take it out to our screened in porch and admire the river views and feel the breeze as I sew!  

Gidget would go up and down the stairs between my basement sewing room and the family room, so I can join my husband watching TV while I sew!

I would love to have this table so I could take a machine to my sister's house so we could sew.  Her machine is broken, and it's hard for her to fit travel into her schedule so if I could go to her with sewing equipment we could make some things she has been wanting.

My seven children and their families are all scattered across the U.S. which means traveling to visit. I like to make things for the grandchildren but often don't have their sizes. This table would allow me to take my machine and sewing with me and they could watch me sew them clothing, blankets and toys. On sunny days in winter it would also allow me to sew in our three-season porch so I could get some much-needed vitamin D. It would also allow me to take my machine and teach a class/give hands-on experience more easily to children at a nearby Outdoor Education Center.

Oh MY!  to be able to quilt on the river and in the woods and even at Grandma's  oh what fun!  I ALWAYS keep a sewing machine packed in my van and my husband already knows that wherever we go the machine goes FIRST and now to be easily able to roll my table along as well as my machine...how cool is THAT!  What a great addition to our quilting and sewing sewing 'tools'.  This easy portable sewing surface - at just the right ergonomic height for us, is terrific...no more sewing on folding tables meant for other purposes, and waaaay too high to facilitate a great sewing experience!!!  What a great contest and PRIZE!

I would take the arrows table to my son's house.  It would be perfect for my granddaughter.  She could leave it up in her room so we could sew every chance we get.  I learned to sew at her age (10).  I continue to sew today.  I really want to give her the chance to learn and to enjoy sewing as much as I do.

I would take to our second home in Atlanta when we visit our two granddaughter. I would like them to learn to sew the way I did from my Mom and Grandmother. I learned to sew at 8 years old on a small singer machine right next to my Mom's big machine. I would like my Granddaughters to have that same experience.

I could take it when I go to visit my parents, or to do an event at a senior citizen facility....bring my machine and do some monogramming for them, sew some easy quilts, do some mending.....

We camp often in the spring and fall, and I like to work on quilting projects while my husband fishes.  The Gidget II would be perfect in our RV.  I've been known to set up my machine on any level surface - picnic tables, kitchen table, the low coffee table, even the dresser.  A portable sewing table would be more comfortable and make sewing more enjoyable in the RV.  Shh, don't tell my husband, but I wouldn't have to put the sewing away when he came back from fishing.

This table would go many miles to grandkids house to teach the many (l2) granddaughters I have. Can't wait!

I was first introduced to quilting earlier this year when I went to visit my brother and sister in law, in Colorado, and I came home with a suitcase full of tools, patterns and fabric. That was in February 2011, then in May they came to visit me in Birch Bay, Washington, and brought me a beautiful 1947 Singer Featherweight.  How spoiled am I? Since then I have finished 2 quilts, with one more to go before Christmas.  I would take this marvellous table to Mount Baker Washington, so I could keep sewing when we are at our vacation home, and I would be able to take it to visit family for more quilting lessons!  Thank you, Fran

I would be taking it to the homes of my family members whom I am always doing projects for and it's hard to find table space to sew!  It would also allow me to take quilt projects with me when my husband and I go away!  This would be perfect!

I am having to travel between my home, my dads and my sisters; to take my dad for chemo treatments.  I want to make lap quilts for him and other patients to use.  It is great therapy for me.

Wow! what a great gift this would  be to take to retreat, long road trips, classes....Over the country roads, through the wooded lanes, around the lake to the state park we go as a guild event each year at least once and sometimes twice.  I'll dream of this tonight instead of sugar plums.

I am really due for a new sewing table (my current one was purchased in 1963) and the Gidget II would truly be a great improvement!  It would be wonderful to have a more portable table that I could take with me to retreats and classes at our LQS.  I absolutely love the ease of set-up and the wheels for portability. I could take it on my annual retreat with my guild to a local area hotel each year, as this would sit my machine lower and have the table area level with my machine instead of sitting on top of the table, but I would love just having it in my overcrowded studio and be able to move it over just a few inches here or there easily, that would be terrific!

Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house they come - the daughters and grandaughters for sewing marathons.  Sometimes they bring extra sewing machines and sometimes they don't.  Either way, we always run out of space on the dining room table. The Gidget II would allow us that desperately needed additional working space for those sewing days.  It would also go with me to their homes for sewing days.

I just recently moved to Missouri.  My Gidget II would go with me back and forth to different

parts of Texas and Kentucky to visit family.

Being retired, I am able to travel to my daugher's house for extended periods of time.  I always take my sewing machine to work on my projects as well as projects for her family and her home.  How great it would be to have a portable table to take and use rather than commandeering her dining room table.

A couple of years ago I bought my granddaughter a sewing machine. It moves around wherever there is space. I'd love to have this table for her sewing machine. Of course I could borrow it whenever I have the need.

I would so love to win this portable sewing table.  To use upstairs when home alone and hubby is out hunting.  Could also use in our camper when traveling since there is no space for an actual table to put my sewing machine on.  I take it out to the picnic table to sew and then have to carry back in doors to be put away until the next time I can carry it out to the picnic table.  This table would be awesome to have!  I haven't won anything quilting/sewing related at all.  I resently retired and am on a fix budget and can't afford to purchase such a great gadget to use while sewing.

fellow Army wives houses whom all love to sew as much as me and we take turns going to each other's houses to teach each other a new project or skill...this would so much improve on the tv dinner tables and card tables that we've used!!

Portability is always a huge plus.  I would love to take this table with me to the cabin during the summer where space is limited and I don't have a table at the correct height.  I would also love to use it at home where space is sooo limited in my one bedroom basement suite.  Also, It would definitely save my back all the way around.

I've been dreaming about owning the Gidget for years.  It's portability would be a great asset for the numerous retreats I go to each year as well as our guild's monthly Saturday Sew-In.  There are many times I would love to take my bigger machine to these activities, and the Gidget would give me this opportunity.  

Over the river and through the woods I would take my Gidget to guild workshops, to the beach and mountains (frequent trips) and to my sewing room at home!  I am still using the extension table that came with my machine since I don't have a sewing table with the drop area for the machine to make the sewing surface level.  Gidget would be by my side everywhere!

With Gidget two, I can try!

I'm re-doing my sewing room.  The Gidget Two would be a great addition.  I am retiring soon and plan on spending a lot of my retirement time in a quilting group.  The Gidget Two  would be nice to take from home to shop!

I just started quilting and I purchased a new sewing machine and I use an old old  card table that is set up in part of my living room to sew on,  it bounces when operating the sewing machine. I also have to clean up, and fold up the table and unfold it when I want to sew (which is daily) I have caught the quilt bug. and love it, but it's such a pain up and down, I spend more time setting up. This Gidget II  would be a real happy wonderful gift to me, I could just roll it out and with little effort start sewing. Then the kids can sing "over the river to grandmas house too get the quilt she made for me".

If I owned this portable sewing table, I would take it upstairs to my sewing room! Also it would be so easy to transport to my daughter's house for a day of sewing and fun with her.

I'd love to be using this on the front porch of my tiny mountain cabin....the crisp sky is the brightest blue, white fluffy clouds hug the majestic mountain in the distance, my Siamese cat, Teddy, is courageously stalking a fiesty bluejay, the pasture in front of me is dotted with a herd of imposing elk grazing amongst the carpet of dainty yellow sunflowers....and my small Bernina is humming along...life is very good indeed.

I would take it to a quilting retreat and to my mentor's house when I go sewing.  Also, I could take it to another room to sew when I need more room to sew in.  It would be great to use in any room in the house.

With my small room which I have to share with my cat and also use it for our spare room for our sometimes over nighters with my grandaughter whom is 3 yrs old.  This table would give my the option for quick storage when I have my grandaughter over to sleep.

i would to have this table. i have a sewing room but sometimes i like to sew and watch tv in the livingroom so i can watch the big screen tv. i usually just sit machine on the coffee table and hunch over to sew. this woould make my life so much easier and when i went to babysit with my grand children i culd take it with me

i am teaching one of my 5 grandsons to quilt. he made his first throw size quilt when he was 12. he is now 17 and he has been teaching his mom how to use a sewing machine. this woould make it easier to move my sewing machine.

Since my children are now grown, I am enjoying attending quilt retreats.  I am a member of 3 local guilds and participate in everything as much as possible.  It would be a wonderful table to take to retreats, as well as setting it up in my home while I am teaching my oldest grandson (who will soon be 5) to sew.  

My mother and I do not have a sewing room. It would be great to put a sewing machine on the Gidget II and move to where we are working, like in the dining room to sew next to where we cut, or in the utility room to sew next to where we iron, or even in the hallway. Plus, instead of hunching over a nightstand to sew, we would actually have a real, steady table. Yes, we do get creative, especially when both of us are making a quilt at the same time. Boy, do we need a great Arrow table. Of course, we could also take it with us through the woods (our lane goes through piney woods) to the river house where we once lived and cannot find a buyer. We have wheelchair ramps at both houses and the Gidget II should be easy to move! Through the woods and to the river, to Grandma's house we go!

Over the river and through the woods to my daughter's home which is five hours away. I am teaching my granddaughter to sew. I also do not have a sewing room and like to sew in my living room beside my huge coffee/cutting table where I can watch or at least listen to TV. I love the Gidget II.

I frequently travel for work; and I travel to visit my family, to the sewing bee at my church, to monthly quilt guild work days, and to quilt retreats. This little table will fit perfectly into my car (I already measured), which means that I could create a sewing space wherever I go.   My husband always thought I should install wheels on my derriere, but I think wheels on my sewing table would be much better.

I would take this Gidget II to Nantucket Island where I sit for cats/dogs at different times of the year.  That is if Gidget II would not get seasick on the boat. The only medicine I would have for this table is a beautiful cover made from today's fabulous fabric.

This little table would provide me the ability to move my quilting habit from the basement to our sunroom when the seasons change. I like to watch nature in the spring/summer/fall upstairs and in the winter, I hibernate in front of our basement fireplace piecing together the blocks completed over the summer. My "boys" are getting sick of moving mom from floor to floor when the seasons change. This would be more for them then for me.

To the semi-truck we go, with my stash & sewing tools in tow, Feather Weight all aboard. My GIdget II, I can stow,over the rivers and threw the states. Quilting I will go with my fiancee. With space of value oh what a GIDGET II will do..

This table would be terrific for so many hobbies besides sewing.  The fact that it is on wheels would make it easy to move to classes or to a friend's house for a sewing get together.  It would be great to move it to the living room with my machine when watching quilting shows or DVD's so I can work right along with what I'm seeing.

I would love to be able to sew outside on our huge screened in porch, looking out over the flowers and trees in our back yard.  With this table, I could move my sewing outside when the weather was nice, then move it back inside whenever I wanted to.  What a luxury...to be able to sew wherever and whenever I want!

I could take this table and my machine when we visit our children in another state. My daughter-in-law and I could sew, sew and sew.

I would love to have the Gidget II to be able to take with me when several of our retired teachers get together to sew hospital gowns for little kids. I could also use it at home to wheel to other rooms to sew once in a while. Thanks for the opportunity!

The Gidget II would allow me to sew in any room in my house making it easy on my hubby.  My sewing area is adjacent to our master bedroom and my husband likes to go to bed early.  The Gidget II table would be so handy to move my machine into another room so I would never be without my sewing/embroidery machine.  The table would allow me to use my embroidery unit with my machine on the level; or lower the sewing machine to quilt.  Boy, my hubby would be so happy to sleep in piece (oops, I mean peace).

I don't have a "sewing" room... I use my dining room table to sew and the buffet cabinet to store my sewing machine and current project supplies... This little table would fit into my small spare/guest room and could be folded away when company is visiting... Oh and to be able to sew outside in the summer??!!!  Wow, that would be AWSOME!! I'd definately take it to my mom-in-laws and sew pool-side while watching my son be a fish:)    Or even to my mother's lake house... Sooo

I do not have a "sewing" room.  I currently use my dining room table to sew on and a buffet cabinet to store my sewing machine and current projects in.  The Gidget II table would fit and stow away perfectly in my small guest room upstairs.  And, to be able to sew outside in summer months??!!  AWSOME!!   I'd have to say that I'd be taking the table and my sewing machine with me to my mom-in-law's pool to sew while watching my son swim, or even to my mother's lake house... I can never gat any sewing done in the summer months, because my son is a little fish:)  So, I'd have to say...

I would take the Gidget II to my sister's house. She has been teaching me to sew. I haven't sewn since high school and decided to give it a try again.

Due to disabilities I sew in bed...yes I put my machine on my padded pressing board and place my foot control under my right folded leg and push with my thigh/knee...the small portable size of the Gidget II would allow me to move to the side of the bed to sew more comfortably.  Please consider helping me to sew more conveniently and with more comfort.

Paapaw is in earlier stages of Alzheimer's & I've had one back surgery.  Both of us have other medical issues including waning strength.  I have six machines including my serger but only cabinets/tables for four.  The Gidget II would be a wonderful addition to my sewing room & would be moveable to be able to sew where Paapaw is watching TV, napping, etc. That would help me to spend more time with him & to be more aware of what he's doing, etc. (He has vivid dreams & sometimes those dreams are more reality to him that he awakens & begins to act as if they were real -- and because of which it's unsafe for him to be alone especially at those times.)  My sewing room is behind the kitchen & Paapaw usually naps & watches TV in the living room which is near the front of the house.

I have mobility issues and I have to use the dining room table to

do my sewing.  It is a major hassle to have to put things away

each time we need the table for other things... like eating.

I've wanted a Gidget for oh so very long.  It would make my life

This would be perfect for using in my home.  I've been using either the dinning room table or an old desk which is very uncomfortable.  And since I am a Grandmother they travel to me. ;)   And one of my grandsons wants to learn to sew and knit just like me. :)  Life is so good!

I could use it every where.A lot of the time I get together with other girls and sew .It would be nice to be able to set up and sew without trying to get a spot some where at their house.

I would take the Arrow to Rocky Mountain National Park to work with other quilters there to create quilts to commemorate those Rangers who have died in the line of duty, to welcome the birth of babies, to celebrate happy retirements, to make quilts for project Linus, and to provide comfort to families who have lost their homes to natural disasters.

I would love to win this table. I would use it outside on beautiful days while my babies run and play. I would also use it in hotel rooms because there is never anything to watch on those tvs and I find it hard to sleep in foreign places.

I would use the table to go to my 84 year old neighbor's house to quilt along with her.  I am learning much from her...much more than quilting. She is a dear friend.

I would love to have a Gidget II so I could take it with me when I go to visit my 86 year old father.  Sometimes I have to go a week or two without sewing and that really slows the progress of some of my projects.  

Being a member of a quilt guild, I travel to different homes when we do Community Service projects.  Having the Arrow would make it so easy to sew on a level surface when making quilts, shawls and placemats.  A couple of quilters, I know, have one and can't say enough good things about it.

Gidget II is the perfect size for my second sewing machine in my very crowded sewing room/overflow-houseguest-room!  It could disappear into a closet when extra guests arrive, and presto change-o, reappear when they leave.  Would love, love, love to win it!

I will give the Gidget II to my BFF!  She is just starting to sew and will love this accessory.  She bought my mother's Elna Super from me recently and needs a table.

I would definitely make use of this table to take on weekend quilt retreats or over to my friends house for a quilt-fest!  It would also come in handy in my sewing room so I could have room to bring my serger out also.

I would take the portable table to my granddaughter's so that she and I could have a sew-a-thon.  Space is an issue in their apartment and having portability allows her to sew.  

The Gidget II is perfect to go with me everywhere I go!  I am a full-time RVer and have limited space available for sewing.  I can put Gidget II in our small storage space or pull it out whenever I need it!  It will help me keep my kitchen table clear and encourage me to continue sewing because it wouldn't have to be put away three times a day!

I don't usually sew when we travel, but this would be great to take if I did. Great idea for the fishing trips I get roped into - I could sew in the cabin while he's out catching supper! I would definitely use this in my dining room by the window and could easily move it to the spare room for the best light there, too. I usually sew at my kitchen table, then have to move the machine, so it doesn't get set up for a project until I know I will have some time uninterruped. Rarely do I sew in the basement, because the light is too low there. Now I'm daydreaming about my "someday" sewing room.

That would be perfect for me. I don't have a sewing room, so every time I set up, it's on the kitchen table. Not very convenient with four kids and all their friends who are always wanting to eat.

I would carry it to my family room!  In my upstairs craft room I have my main sewing machines set up on an office desk.  I don't sew much because my room is soooo messy, you can hardly walk in there.  The desk is too high to comfortably sew but does serve its' purpose.   It just that I have stacks of books, material, and other crafts supplies crowding out the desk and room.  I am so unorganized and have trouble concentrating enough to clean it up.  But my husband doesn't want a mess anywhere else since I have this room.  So I could carry this table downstairs to sew in the evening, watch/hear TV, and be in the same room as my husband.  After I am done sewing for the evening, I could move my machine upstairs, fold the table and "poof", no mess!  And I would sew more often because I would actually have room to do it!

The first place I'd take my Gidget II would be upstairs to my sewing room.  When I use my Bernina 440QE for embroidery, the rickety computer stand I'm using flies around so much I'm afraid it's going to collapse!  But the thought that brings me the most joy is when I picture taking my new Gidget II and sewing machine on a trip to my sister's house.  I could set it up next to her sewing table and we could work on projects together - talking and sewing and having our completed projects to remind us of the wonderful time we shared.

I use 3 machines but only have make-shift tables for 2 of them. Having this table would make my sewing much more efficient.

Would love to take it to my friend's house; then we could sew together.

Mine would not have to travel very far, but it sure would be handy. I live on the farm of my friend and her husband. My friend and I have all our sewing and crafting "stuff" in a mobile home on the property. It's wonderful when the weather is warm because we can leave everything set up. During the winter, on the other hand, we have to take our projects and machines over to the main house since we can't afford to heat the trailer (too old and not enough insulation). This means we have to use the dining room table and take down at every meal. The Gidget would allow us to set up in the main house and then just push it out of the way when not working and during the warm months it would be set up in the trailer.

We're retired now and will be traveling in an RV around the country next summer. The Gidget II would be perfect to bring on our trips. I also love to take classes with my guild and this table would be great for classes too.

Through the woods of Alaska I would go...from the box it comes in to my living room so I can sew and be with my family (my sewing room is away from them)...and it would go to friend's homes when we get together to sew.  I could sew longer and more comfortably than on a kitchen table or card table!

I would first use it in my home for my embroidery machine then come summer she'd be packed up tight and  fit right into my RV for travel to an fro all summer long.  What adventures we'd share as I created great new projects on my machines she holds so well.

Over the hill and through the streets I'll take my Gidget to our Quilting Sessions at our Church where we make quilts for the annual Auction.  Last year our quilts brought  in almost $6000.  (We only had ten.)  We often need a machine to sew on bindings, etc., and this would sure be handy.  The quilt tops are donated by individuals and we quilt them.  (We have about 10 to 12 regular quilters.)  I also like to sew in a different room sometime to just get a different window to look out of and see what is going on in my yard.

Gidget II could take me anywhere. A condo on Lake Dillon, CO, Sewing on vacation in Hawaii on the Big Island. California to visit our daughter. Sew much fabric never enough time.

When I married a second time, I also got two great new daughters who say, "Don't worry, if anything happened to Dad you are coming to live with us and make quilts.  So my Gidget ll would go with me to make quilts when I need to travel, go to a retreat, or take these girls up on their wonderful offer.    

Gidget ll would travel over the river and thru the woods to get to Grandmother's house ( that's me) and she would find herself being used in the sewing room for all those visitors who want to sew. Like daughter-in-law and grand daughters alike. Being able to move her where ever the need would be would be of the greatest of help. Winning her would give me a chance to expand my options and explore new avenues with the design of my room. Plus as a treat for all her hard work, I would take her to retreats with me to make me feel at home.

such a simple straight forward idea! I think every one needs one.

I have only been quilting for a year, and don't yet have a table for my machine. This would be magnificent to take on my first -ever quilting retreat - a mystery quilt  retreat at a cabin in the woods...an invitation from one of the lovely ladies from our local quilt shop! Aren't quilters just the most generous and kind people in the world?  This includes the generosity of the companies that sponsor such lovely contests. Thank you!

The Gidget and I could do all our travels together.  My family enjoys camping and the Gidget would allow me to sew while we camp.  It could also travel to retreats with me.

I work as a relief second cook for a Great Lakes shipping company and rotate through 7 different ore ships relieving the regular second cooks when they have to get off for vacation, or whatever reason. When I get to the ship I'm going out on, a sailor on the ship lowers a rope and either lifts my stuff up and on in a canvas bucket or (if the object is larger than the bucket) has me wrap and tie the rope around the item and it's hoisted up over the railing that goes around the deck. I then climb a ladder and get myself up on. I have a light-weight machine (Janome 720 gem) for traveling with and have learned to carry only needles and thread that will work for my quilting cotton or I would find myself mending all kinds of work clothes! If I win the Gidgit, it will travel the Great Lakes with me for a long time.
