I love using machine embroidery on my projects because it makes I personalize it for whomever I make it for.  I like to give quilts that I have added machine embroidery to. The recipients have always been overjoyed with the additional touches that the machine embroidery gives to it.

Machine embroidery provides a rich embellishment for many different mediums and can be modified to suit the occasion.  Each design can be adapted and modified and there is endless fun in finding the most suitable combinations of colours textures and stitches to perfect the design. It is great to be that adaptable and create something that really suits the recipient and I love to suprise them with the results!

I love everything about machine embroidery. I am fascinated watching the shapes take place and the shading as the thread changes. The best part is knowing that I can take that design and use it anyway I want to, whether it be a wallhanging, clothes, quilts,or as simple as a lace coaster.

I can make something simple into something very special with an added machine embroidery motif.  I can customize a gift for the recipient without redesigning the whole project. And I can look like a real pro by having my machine do all the work!

I have used embproidery on several of my quilts so far and many, many napkins, tablecloths and tea towels.  Floriani thread is the best I have used thus far. Not only does it not nest, but it gives a glossy finish to my projects. I am slowly replacing all my thread with Floriani.  I also have some of their designs and they sew up beautifully.

I used to embroider on T shirts, pillows, wall hangings and absolutely loved doing it.  Then I started sewing in a different direction.  This last year I've begun machine quilting and piecing in a major way and am wanting to add the embroidery back into my projects.  I love that you can make anything and make it the way you want it to be.  I enjoy hand embroidery but using a machine is so much faster and I like that. I'd like to try some Floriani.

I've never done any real machine embroidery!  I have an old and inexpensive Singer sewing machine with only a few decorative stitches.  The most I've done with those are to embellish the seam lines of crazy quilt squares.  Even those simple designs done with colored thread really bring something extra to a project.

I love Floriani stabilizers. I do lots of baby quilts and don't want any stabilizer left behind inside the quilt when I'm done. Love the iron on Wet n Gone Fusible for my baby quilts. And all the beautiful colors of polyester threads! Baby quilts get washed a lot and the colors stay bright and as beautiful as the day they were first embroidered. Of course, no quilt is finished until there's a label attached. You just can't beat Floriani products. No other brand compares in my opinion.

I was a needlework shop owner years ago and completed and taught many hand embroidery projects, including English smocking, needlepoint, hardanger, Brazilian embroidery, blackwork,  drawn thread, pulled thread, shadow work, and heirloom sewing with embroidery. I cannot hold a needle for those kind of needlework projects any more because of the numbness in my hands.  So I've lost a major creative outlet. I'm new to machine embroidery and machine quilting.  Machine embroidery has opened new creative opportunities for me. I've fallen in love with the vibrant colors of Floriani threads and how they can be used.  The stabilizers offer many ways to show off those beautiful colors on my projects.  The creative juices are beginning to stir again.  I've even used the threads to machine quilt my quilts, which adds a sparkle and more dimension to my work.

About 12 years ago my sister and I went to a sewing expo, we were just starting doing quilts and some sewing after 30 years.  We have alway been closes but she was 15 years older than me.  We watched all the demo's and then bought some embrodery thread from Floriani and some stablizer from Floriani. Well we did a lot of items for donations to schools in our area.  Together we made so much stuff that my husband bought my sister and I another embroidery machines.  She passed away several years ago and each time I look at my embroidery machine I remember the time we had together just making things for other people to enjoy.  She would be the first one to jump in and enjoy this event. Thank you Floriani for getting us started.

I have liked embroidery since I was a little girl about ahem-50 some years ago. When I first saw the new machine embroidery I was sold.  I can think of so many things to put a touch of it here and there.  And so much more.  I love the colors - the vibrant brights - the neons - and the soft pastels - the cool colors - the warm colors - the seasonal colors.  Oh, I can go on and on.  But you love them too so you understand!

What else can a say but that Floriani stands for top quality. That's why I like them too.

Machine Embroidery is a wonderful tool that I love to use to make quilts totally in the hoop, or to add

decorative designs on my pieced quilts. I have always admired Floriani thread, with the rich lustrious

colors with such vibrant sheen, it sets my quilts apart from other quilts, and the stabilizers give such

a neat base on which to hold the embroidery.  I love doing my own designing and sending the designs

to my machine from my Floriani software.  I am designing my own Recipe kitchen towels, using pumpkins for pumpkin pies and strawberries for jam recipes and other such ideas.  I feel so creative

I like using embroidery on my quilts because it adds another tool that can be used to coordinate and embelish.  Just a small amount of embroidery in what would otherwise be a blank area can do so much to tie the whole of the quilt theme together.  Larger embroideries can make the theme of an entire quilt.  Even the most simple of quilts can be enhanced with the addition of embroidery matched to the theme.   Marjorie Ochs

My friends and other family members like initials, themes they like (such as kitchen tools embroidered on tea towels, religious quotes on hankies, etc.)...and it's just plain fun.

I got my first sewing/embroidery machine this year and am having a blast!!!

I have wanted an embroidery machine for years and finally got my first one a few months ago.  I love everything about it.  Putting something personal on a shirt or bag makes me so happy.  My local dealer just started carrying Floriani a few weeks ago and we are all drooling at the wall of rich threads.  The stabilizer is wonderful too!

Embroidery,( or as I put on my quilt Labels), "Stitches of Love", is the best. I love to add personality to my quilts with the labels, and I have embroidered my quilts as well, I think its easy and a wonderful look of professionalism.  I have grown to love my embroidery machine and all of the designs that we have available to us, most of all, I absolutely love to work with Floriani  Threads.  The colors are so vibrant and easy to work with, my machine sews them beautifully.  I even hand quilt my bindings with  the Floriani Thread.  I am venturing into more complicated embroidery and will not trust my work to any other thread, I love the way it always stitches out perfectly!

I've only done a bit of embroidery on my basic machine and that alone amazes me.  I have another machine that quilts and embroiders and hope to learn how to use this very soon.  I've done a few quilts with a lot of applique on them and using colors like the Floriani colors would have looked nice on them.  If I had this thread, it would definitely give me the inspiration to learn and make some beautiful quilts with my personal touch of embroidery.  Every quilt will be an original!  As an artist signs his/her name to every painting, I would just have to embroider some kind of mark or my name on every quilt (despite the quilt label on the back).

I have just gotten my first embroidery machine and I love it. My first project was a DONALD DUCK, I used another brand of thread and was not too pleased with the results. My next project was a quilt that i used Floriani thread on. It is FABULOUS! I made the quilt with 10 1/2 inch squares in white and a very pale blue wild rose and butterfly print on a white ground, made of linen fabric. I set the blocks starting with the blue in a four square, then surrounded that with the white squares and alternated each new square row ending white all the way around. I then add 2 narrow borders with the same fabric. I QUILTED the quilt with a rose sillouette on the white and a butterfly sillouette on the blue print using Floriani PF362 LOT:3292682. Everyone who has seen the quilt so far has fallen in love with [so they say] it. I am giving this quilt to my neice for her 11 year old son who has Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. The SAINT LOUIS CHAPTER OF THE FOUNDATION is having a walk the 22nd of September to help raise awareness and funds to help in researchfor this horrible disease. Amy, my neice will put this quilt up for auction with the other donations to be auctioned and raffled. for every dollar the quilt raises the FOUNDATION gives this amount for treatment, medication and all medical expenses. I KNOW THAT WITH USING THE FLORIANI THREAD THE QUILT WILL BE A HUGE SUCESS. I LOVE the way the thread performed and the results are spectacular because of the Floriani. I will use only Floriani thread on ALL my projects so this novice will turn out PROFESSIONAL looking works of art.

I will let you know how the well the quilt did in the auction, i know it will be a favorite, not because I did it  but because I took a leap of faith in choosing FLORIANI THREAD. Thank You for a great product!

I love doing machine embroidery simply because it's quicker than doing it by hand, not to mention that the quality remains more consistent. I have a large family and I make Christmas ornaments for everyone each year. This is sooooo much easier with a machine, I can spend a month, off and on, working on these, only changing colors to each specific person and of course adding their names and the year to the ornaments, instead of working year-round on something so small. I naturally, want to make other things for my family, as well. This year I think I'm going to embroider towel sets for everyone as well as their yearly ornaments. Another factor to concider: my eyes aren't a good as they used to be, so once the machine is programmed, it does the stitches instead of me so there's not as much eye strain. I also have concerns about my carpal tunnel, this eliminates my hands and arthritic fingers from "killing" me at night. I LOVE MACHINE EMBROIDERY!!!!!

Machine Embroidery allows me to personalize every project I do - often based on the recipient's perferences in color and design or, if no recipient has been chosen yet, I base my choices on those designs and colors that "speak" to me at the time I work on a project.   It's always a delight to watch the machine bring a project to "life" as the stitches and color changes add up.

I have actually designed quilts around embroidery designs that I fell in love with first.  Then I would find the fabric and design the quilt rather it be pieced or applique to go with the beautiful embroidery design.

It always makes the quilt or the project that I'm working on, just a little bit more "rich" as I love to say and drive my daughter crazy.  A "rich" looking project rather than a "cheap" looking project is a good thing in my mind.

Machine Embroidery: why do I love. love, love it?

Let me count the ways!

Since I got my new machine as a 34 year wedding anniversary gift a year ago, nothing is safe from finding itself embellished in some way.

I've done aprons, towel, quilt blocks, wallhangings, tablerunners, valances, socks, t-shirts and that's just the NEW items. My husband is an avid outdoors man, I've added fish to the pockets of his fishing shirts and moose silhouettes to the back of his woods jacket. My husband is fine with it all and secretly proud ( overheard him telling on of his fishing buddies! ) but he has warned me no Love Hearts on his jockey shorts!

Extra, great quality thread would be a very welcome boost to my growing addiction!

I've used embroidery in quilting, home dec, and clothing.  I can personlize all my projects and be one of a kind.  My favorite was an eagle I put on the back of a denium jacket.  It took over ten hours to sew out and had over 100,000 stitches.  My brother loved it!

So many of my friends insisted on using rayon thread for their machine embroideries, then were disappointed when the color faded if the garment was bleached, either by accident or intentionally, or if the embroidery was on a well-worn jacket for a child and the thread frayed. I had difficulty selecting colors early-on because the color charts were for rayon thread. But designers have learned that more and more of us are using other threads which don't bleach or fray. Conversion charts are now readily available. Embroidery makes my projects unique so they stand out in a crowd and aren't one of a couple dozen available at the chain stores.

Every quilt I make gets a label with an embroidery design, my name, and the location.  These labels offer me a chance to add one more design element to my quilts, and to make the back look pretty.  I also make handbags with embroidery designs on them.  No embroidery is ever repeated on other bags of the same design.  That way people who either buy them or get them as gifts know that their bag is uniquely theirs.

I love doing embroidery.  I use it for quilt squares and also for the name label on my quilts.

I also add embroidery to decorate clothing.  It adds zip to just plain clothes for my grand Children and they are so excited when I decorate their clothes.

I have done a jacket for myself with a disney theme that when I wear it Iam ask where I got it. and when I tell people that I did it myself people are shocked.

I also did a jacket for a very good friend with Cats on a jacket for her and everyone that see's it loves it.

I also took a seminar by Mr Floriani and was just fasinated by his program.  If you get a chance to go to one of his presentation make it a point to go if you can you will love it.  Kathleen Manoff

I love using embroidery designs on different projects I make because it adds texture and always a great way to personalize the project if I am making it for someone special. You can add some simmer with teh metallics to give it shine, glow in the dark to make it show at night. Just so much you can do with embroidery designs.

When I began my sewing relationship several years ago, after not sewing at all since junior high home ec class, I couldn't see what all of the fuss was about running into embroidery fanatics at my dealer. I bought a rather plain but modern machine. First, I missed being able to add lettering to my items that everyone else was able to. Then, I missed not being able to add pretty borders or decorative edges to rather utilitarian items that I had to re-learn to sew. Next, I really really wanted to be able to add some feather quilting to my simple quilt projects and couldn't because as a beginner, there's no way I could free motion a quilt feather. I finally took an embroidery class that my dealer was offering - just a quick monogrammed, ruffled heirloom pillow project. That was enough to make an enthusiast out of me. I quickly bought one of their better machines and have happily surfed one end of the web to the next looking for those special designs that I can't live without. Several surgeries in the last year have left me with time on my hands, and embroidery has filled the giant void. I recently attended a Floriari/RNK trunk show and was amazed at what their products do so beautifully when at first glance they seem to have the same names as less expensive products. The results were outstanding, and  I wish that a magic fairy would grant me my fondest wish of owning some of these beautifl threads and stabilizers. My dealer does not carry these, and without my class discount, I can't afford to mail order these beautiful products. I have a special project in mind that these would be great for.

Machine embroidery just adds a very professional look to any project.  The clean lines and perfect stitches make the project look like something I "bought" rather than something I "made."  I also think the versatility is nice.  Whether it is a quilt block, a shirt logo, or a kitchen towel, embroidery makes it special.

Winning these threads would be a real asset to the continuation of my adventure.  Soooo exciting.  Sooooo rewarding.

I have been sewing / quilting for almost 50 years and when I got Bell's Palsy, my hubby bought me a embroidery machine ( it was hard going out in public with half my face parylized) . I have been going crazy with it for the three years since then.. done everything from baby's things to totally personalized quilts. I make theme oriented squares for the person,. Last one I did , my sister loves Teddy Bears.. I made 20 different Teddy bears, set them into a Attic Window design.. turned out beautiful!   I am enchanted watching as the designs sew out. I even have personalized the totes that I make!  The best part is the thread.. it is cool to be able to choose which colors I want.. Warning.. only use good thread.. the cheap stuff breaks all the time and is a waste of money !

There are so many designs available that I just don't think I have time to finish all the projects that I have designed in my head. So much thread - so little time. Working a full time job certainly gets in the way. Keep telling my boss that I need to "retire" but he doesn't seem to agree with me. The best thing I like about my embroidery machine is " Seeing the look on my grandkids face when they have ask me to do a special project for their favorite teacher or their very best friend. They give me an idea what they want and I figure out the final product and its personlized for that person and the grandchild is in awe. I love that GOD has blessed those children with apprecation when granny does favors for them.
