Hello,

I just joined Quilters Club a couple of weeks ago and I thought I would share a quilt that I just finished. It's called Stars and Bars. My goal was to make a simple quilt, using fabrics in my stash, that would show off quilting motifs well. The quilt is 74" x 74". I used two battings to make the quilting more distinct.

This is a lap quilt I made from a set of fat quarters I bought at
Joann's. The pattern is called "hidden stars". This is going to be a
gift for my mother-in-law.

This is my first and only finished quilt. It was made in 2008 after the death of my niece and nephew's 3 month old son Ethan in Oct. 2007 from SIDS. It was presented to them at the one year anniversary of his new life in heaven. The pattern that I used was "Lucky Stars" from Atkinson Designs.
