“An Aquarium – Love of Life” by Kathy

My son loves working with aquariums.  I found this stained glass pattern and decided to try to duplicate it in cloth:

I intended to use quick bias as my "leaded" lines.  As I began working with the colors and appliqué I started using topstitching instead of quick bias and it worked out beautifully.  He loved the gift - simply titled "An Aquarium - Love of Life"

Awesome.  I have worked with bias tape for stained glass before but I can see where the sewing would bring depth to it.  Thanks for sharing.

Nice work. I love the stain glass technique. I did one that i used exacto knives to cut into the black fabric to create the shapes. It was way too much work that way. You did a nice job with your shape outlines.
