I wanted to share "MY Quilt" with you. This is Bridging the Centuries. It was from the sampler quilts series of American Patchwork Quilting December 2000 Issue. It is a mirror image quilt, and it is mine, all mine. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. It consists of six blocks from six different issues. Now this posed a problem because all I had was the December issue. Sooo I did a lot of guessing and designing of my own. The end results is what you see.
I have included the picture from the magazine so you can have a comparison.
This quilt is the reason I do not do Flying geese. The big flower blocks that you see are hand stencil painted. I made it a double sided quilt as well. The back is pieced using the checkerboard block you see on the front. I brought huge checkers and we lay it on the floor and play checkers.
