Could not wait till spring so decided to brighten my mood with an applique wall hanging. Am calling it Bar's Blooms. Come on summer !!!

Oh, Barb, very pretty, and you're right - just the thing to lift the spirits this time of winter. How did you sew such perfect circles? Is the narrow inner border three strips of colored fabric, or simply a striped fabric? Very nice job with the appliqued flowers!

I'm in a Quilt University class with Leslie Lacika's "Bodacious Blossoms." She's teaching all sorts of applique techniques for garden flowers, stems, leaves, etc. I'm not into crafts, but some of the gals have designed some pretty nifty flowers and things. Nice touch with the circles. Your quilt makes a very pleasant showcase for your work.
